Think I might stay up for the Football League show - and keep my eye on here for Olof - worried he might have topped himself
So had Red Rum, but he was fcuked when he was asked to tackle or cross! 75 chances he's had. I remember one good game when he came on as sub. Think it was his first.
0 good games, 0 poor games, 37 absolutely fcuking awful games. Actually, think I prefer the term appearances rather than games. Games suggests he played a constructive part.
We're being slaughtered in all of the media and it's not fun!! Papers, Itv, Sky, BBC all with headlines along these lines: more turmoil for poor Leeds after a problematic summer. I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt because things have been more optimistic this summer than usual, but Hock for me is the problem. He talks a good game but has done nothing since his arrival, except get the players fit. He has no tactics for bombing forward and getting the ball into areas where we can hurt teams. He persists with garbage up front, how long before it becomes obvious that Hunt us useless?? Big difference between Hock and big Mick at Ipswich. I saw Micks interview yesterday where he said we're going for top 6 this season, and even though there are plenty of teams like Cardiff, Norwich and Fulham with good teams and parachute payments he expects to be up there. He then goes on to play Fulham off the park. Massive difference between Hock and big Mick
The 37 mins that Smith was on,Leeds were the better team, but as you say the main problem was a lack of attacking from the midfield.Plain to see,but what did hock do,brought on another defensive midfielder instead of the attacking midfielder we were crying out for.It may or may not have worked but if its not working for 63 mins, why would he persist with it.
Chesh, we were chasing the game. I wouldn't even say we were the better team. We were outplayed, out thought and out fought over ninety minutes. We need to get to forty six points as soon as possible and take it from there. Fifteen wins and one draw should be possible given what's in the division but we shouldn't be getting beaten by Millwall (no disrespect). At some point MC will see things ain't good enough and hockeycocky will be sacked but what or who will replace him?
Poor Leeds. They left their coach to boos from the Millwall fans and exited the pitch to laughter and waves from the same supporters. In between, they could probably count themselves lucky to have lost the match by only two goals, scored by Mark Beevers and Shaun Williams. Make no mistake, Dave Hockaday's side were extremely disappointing in their first competitive fixture under the new manager. Barring the chance fluffed by Noel Hunt early in the second half they offered next to nothing. Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...rough-welcome-Championship.html#ixzz39yWzwPjv
If you don't mind Ristac, I don't think I will read anymore Match reports and analysis done to death. We basically put out same team as last season which was ****e then and still is. Lots of new faces urgently needed and maybe a new coach, time will tell. Time to move on to next game now
I don't mind in the slightest, I too have stopped looking... Sadly I did a search for news on Leeds United hoping to find a glimmer of hope that we might be in the transfer market for some star player, instead it was story upon story of how bad we were yesterday. I feel pig sick that we didn't play the new guys, like you say we went into the game with basically last years team minus Ross and with the addition of Ajose who has not been tried at this level. Hockaday is basically saying to Cellino your signings are not better than last years squad, only the keeper finished the game and then he had no choice as both keeper choices are new. I read a report that Cellino is going to travel back to Leeds on the team bus today with Hockaday and the players, I would love to have a seat on that bus.
I'd imagine a few of the players opted for taxis and paid the fares themselves. As for transfers, it's not worth reading into who were being linked with. I've said this on many occasion but you'll only drive yourself mad until they are announced as official. The past week or so should have thought us that much. I intend to judge the new signings when they pull on a shirt in a competitive match. Unfortunately they haven't even all got a chance yet
Don't forget mock was being linked with us before McD and most on here wouldn't consider him. I've always liked his straight talking style
