Really? A club like City would write off what has been a traditionally good relationship between the clubs for several years cos Rodwell says 'I didn't really get a chance under the new manager'. I've never found Mancunians that highly strung mate, or anybody else for that matter!
So that's out of order is it? ****ing hell mate, I expect it for wums off other boards but not from our own. “I would *probably say don’t sign now, I’d say get as much football as you can. "The first thing I’d ask is, ‘how good are you?’ You just never know – you could go there, do really well and be winning league titles and everything. “But just because you’re English and young it doesn’t mean you’re not going to play for Manchester City. “I would just say weigh up your options and ask yourself if you want to be playing regularly.” http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/footb...nd-new-boy-jack-rodwell-4026531#ixzz39tBb35mF Follow us: @DailyMirror on Twitter | DailyMirror on Facebook
Seems more than fair, and that as per the press have used out of context, massively. 'don't sign for City' is different to 'think about where you are career wise', which is effectively what he's saying.
Wasn't me mate! I'm all over Boro, Leeds, Portsmouth today tho Marseille at evens tonight as well, gift that.
Wasn't sure on Leyton Orient, but odds looked good, I'm waiting to see if they over performed last year before I back them. Dig up the betting thread I'll re stick it, stop us derailing other threads
Still waiting for that elusive full interview where somebody has apparently read that he stated don't sign for Man City and acted unprofessional. After all if one was telling some to read the full interview, one would assume they've read it themselves.
Whatever, read it mate. He should have just shut his mouth or said he'd enjoyed his time and looked forward to a new challenge then the newspapers wouldn't be all over it this morning and we wouldn't be discussing it. End of!
Cheers mate, still think everything he said was respectful, well thought out good advice to young aspiring footballers Nothing that he said was disrespectful to Man City in the way that the original post suggested. The headline of that article is sensationalism and doesn't reflect the actual quotes. Don't you just love journalists
Seems we have made a killing in signing Rodwell, not for a long time have I seen such jealousy aroused over a Sunderland signing
