That's a matter of opinion. For example; when a shot comes in from a few yards and the keeper gets a hand to it but fails to keep it out, a lot will put it down as a keeper error. However, what if you twist the coin? What if he did extremely well to get anything on it at all? IMO, this happened a couple of times. A shot doesn't need to be powerful if its taken from four or five yards away, it just needs to be out of the keepers reach. The keepers reach isn't far when a shot is from that close!
You're assuming that those incidents formed part of the 6 in the stat A mistake is a mistake and fairly easy to define for a keeper I would suggest.
I am assuming those incidents form part of the six but that's because I am confident they are part of the six he suggests. A mistake is not always easy to define at all. That's like claiming its easy to see if its a penalty, booking, sending off, etc which is clearly bollox. It is to see if a keeper as made a mistake if they let it go through their hands but what about when stretching for the ball? Did they get as much on it as they could have? Where they slow to react? Its not easy at all!
A mistake by a keeper is easy to define, it's when a f** up from the keeper leads to a goal ffs Your assumption that the 6 mistakes in the stat are merely the subjective opinion of someone who's not thought about the range of the shot etc, is based on jack s**t
How is it based on jack **** exactly? Sure, I'm making an assumption but that assumption is based on my having watched every singled second of Migs in a Liverpool shirt! Simply put, he has not made six blatant mistakes. Its really not that hard to understand Tobes so right back at you! Also, a mistake doesn't have to lead to a goal either. That would be a costly mistake. So here it is again...
Maybe that grainy internet stream didn't give you the full picture...either that or you're talking absolute s**te As he'd been attributed with 4 errors that lead directly to goals by the end of Jan, and his form was poor. http://www.whoscored.com/Articles/_...ignolet-Mistakes-Proving-Costly-for-Liverpool
You can't provide anything that is cast iron, it is all opinion and opinion only. Enlighten me, did you watch every second too or are you basing your view on stats and other peoples opinions? #notsosecretred
I guess we could end the Mignolet debate on the fact that he's twice the Keeper old man Tim Howard is
i would say migs probably helped us get 2nd more than he say have cost us the title, coming 2nd in your first season at a new club and he gets criticised? **** me that sounds like a dirty arrogant manc talking! i know brendan has said it, but i did feel it was correct, the loss of henderson was probably why we lost the tile last season more than anything, as it weakened our mid quite a lot when he was out, added to that our ****E bench to keep our decent players fresh probably didn't help either. we get 2nd again (how many are realistically expecting that or better?) with what we have, and then suddenly all our players will be gods, yet 2nd last season and not good enough? so for me the only player we have that deserves criticism and should go is johnson, over paid posh useless turd. few players we could prob do without like kelly, coates, borini, johnson and jones, but probably take time to get rid of them sadly.
Oh do **** off. Are you saying the 4 errors clearly defined in that piece are wrong then? If so explain why exactly - in your own time...
So you're not denying that the 4 howlers attributed to him in that piece written at the end of Jan were goalkeeping **** ups. Thanks for clearing that up
I didn't even bother reading it Tobes as I don't need to read other peoples work to form an opinion but feel free to assume away PS...does that mean your last comment that I just quoted is based on jack ****
