Morning all from a currently dry Jersey. I'm in a very good mood this morning as I've found out that I passed the tax exam I sat in June. I just need to complete the Professional Ethics Module to become a qualified Accounting Technician.
Morning from a bright and sunny rural France. Now that football is almost upon us again I need to start working around 4.00pm on a Saturday afternoon. There was a resigned look on Mme's face when she found out that it all starts again tomorrow. Well done Barry on passing your exam. Professional Ethics and tax matters don't seem to sit too well together if our last owners advisors are anything to go by.
Morning hornets, morning dave .... may the footballing gods smile on you this season ... starting from tomorrow ....
Well done Barry; have a great season Filberto; supposed to rain quite heavily here later and again on Sunday
Thanks to everyone who has posted predictions for the WPL - of the 29 who intended to take part only GG and BHD haave yet to post. Still hoping that Al, emiatts and Zen will join in too.
Had to phone the ticket office just now as mine for tomorrow still has not arrived. From the way the poor lad at the end of the phone sounded I got the distinct impression I'm not the only one!
Thank you for the reminder, as if I really needed one. Good to see Essaïd Belkalem going out on loan and the arrival of Gianni Munari had escaped the BBC who until late this morning were still leading our page with Reece Brown and Joe Dudgeon singning for Barnsley!
Well the Ligue 2 administrators who got themselves in a right old mess over Luzenac Ariege met today and found a way out of their problem. The club ground is not up to requirements was the unanimous decision, so they are still banned from competing. True enough their ground does not meet requirements as it only holds 1,600 spectators, but they have been playing at a nearby ground last season that is larger. The main man behind their rise through the leagues has been one Fabian Bartez who you may remember playing for some minor team in the EPL. Somehow I don't think that this will end the matter. As Mme pointed out to me when we talked about the case, a similar thing happened to Kidderminster, although they did know before the season started that their ground was not good enough. One of the reasons our East Stand has been delayed was the late decision to make our dressing rooms up to Premier League standards. I wonder if we could have been denied playing there if this work had not been done?
Good morning all from a warm and so far dry Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and good luck against Bolton!
