Yea, I dont live in the nice part of Cali thats for sure. There are logical reasons for it being the way it is but basically all the nice parts you see in the movies are on the coast of California.
another question ellewoods, why are so many of the us 'soccer' goal posts have the back frames etc? like at the kc, it's just the posts and cross bar, in so many us stadiums, they have support braces, im bringing this up because i've just seen that disallowed rooney goal v liverpool after the ball rebounded off the support brace and back into play
meth is a horrendous drug, fully chemical made, why anyone would willingly choose to consume it, i'll never know
Its not fake. Its really a horrible drug, you see people like that all the time here. I dont think it has increased since breaking bad. Breaking bad kinda came in on the wave of it. People did get really upset about Breaking Bad glorifying it but that anger seemed to die off rather quickly. The main reason it got popular was due to the government cracking down on prescription drug trafficking. Adicts had to find a cheep replacement and here its easier to make meth than import things like heroin. The reason it is so bad in places in rural California is that the property tax was set at a fixed rate back in the 1970's in a ballot proposition. That means that large swaths of rural California basically an area 2 times the size of the uk with the largest city being about 100,000 have no tax revenue to pay for police. What happened in the 70's was the biker gangs (hells angels, vagos, outlaws, etc) moved into these areas with no police and set up meth factories and distribution organizations. Later the cartels got in on the act to with meth and later giant weed grows in the national forest. So you can go into pretty much any town in the valley or in the foothills and see obvious dealing of meth or people on meth. There is very little that can be done about it unless someone wants to give all these little towns tons of cash to fight organized crime syndicates, which they dont.

Yea I watched that live and I thought it was a good goal. If Rooney had just celebrated rather than look around and then celebrate I think it would have been ruled a goal. His reaction to it gave it away. You know I really have no idea why we have the braces, it had never occurred to me to wonder why. Perhaps its a function of our youth systems? I know that all of them have bars all the way around that way they can roll them off the field to set up for other sports as most fields here are not soccer specific fields.
i suppose that's a good point, which brings me onto another point, i've never been to the kc for a rugby game so... do they use the two posts for the rugby posts? and just remove the cross bar? or is it a completely different set? i'm not sure of the dimensions of the rugby posts
