True enough. I'm so pale you can seem my organs through my skin.

Better a recluse with my wife than a reclusive w**ker though.

You won't find true geeks on here anyway. True geeks don't know what sports are.

Nah, sports is the new geek haven. All the sabermetrics and stats bollocks is any RPG ever. Fantasy football is, essentially, a pen and paper RPG.

That's just the original one. Anything stats based attracts massive dorks. The UFC nerds are the best, chatting back and forth about fightmetric numbers, compustrike percentages and PPV buyrates. Who gives a toss! I just want to see Jon Jones be a giant asshole and crush Daniel Cormier.

I want Gustafsson to make a miraculous recovery and kill Jones but I don't know if the fightmetrics allow it :( I don't even know what fightmetrics are.

Gustaffsson is the only one with a chance against him, but a focussed, prepared Jones beats him 99% of the time. This is a man who was tapped INSTANTLY by Phil Davis, with one good arm, and offered no resistance once the choke was in. Jones had the laziest, worst training camp for that fight and was close to missing weight. The Jones who fought Glover Teixiera was a fully prepared Jones, beating people and embarrassing them at their own game. He is terrifying.

Cormier could put him on his back, but his submission defense hasn't been tested and Jones would be dangerous off his back. On the feet, Jones keeps at range, kicks the **** out of DC's busted knee and looks for the left high kick that Josh Barnett was able to hit.

Aye I'm sure Jones would beat him but I just wanted to see him given another crack. I'm not sure if I want Jones or Cormier to win either. Jones' eye poking thing is really getting on my nerves, but I like his brother so I'm torn. I seem to be in the minority of people who enjoyed their little media day brawl.

I can't see Cormier getting close to beating Jones. To be honest I never watched Strikeforce, so I only know him from his UFC fights and I've not reeeeeally been that impressed. Not that I know who could beat Jones - hopefully another TJ Dillashaw will show up.

He was pretty great in the Strikeforce GP. Beat Bigfoot very impressively and then Barnett, and that was at heavyweight, at about 230-240 (Bigfoot was easily 270 for their fight, maybe even 280, Barnett over 265). He's good, and his striking is more developed than you'd expect, but his body is suffering from the years of wrestling and cutting weight, he can't stay at LHW for long. He could beat Jones if he can get the takedown and **** him for 25mins, but he hasn't always stood by his wrestling in the past. If he strikes with Jones, Jones will out slick him.

As far as future challenges, I like OSP, and he shares some unique physical gifts as far as being a great natural athlete (former standout in sprinting, American football, wrestling and kickboxing while in college), but he's nowhere near right now. Really, after Cormier and a potential Gustafsson rematch, it's just the reborn Anthony "Rumble" Johnson. Now, he's not as good as JJ technically, but he is a huge, terrifying monster who would outmuscle most of the heavyweights. Him against Davis was just freakish. Davis would try for double legs and just be thrown off wildly. Questions about cardio, but he'd certainly stop the takedowns, eat the strikes and keep on coming.

That's pretty much what I've heard before. I always meant to watch Strikeforce but never got around to it. If he struggles at lhw then even if he wins, surely Jones would just take the rematch quite easily.

Been very impressed with OSP actually, that's a decent call. He's got Bader soon hasn't he? Rumble vs Nog made me very excited for his near future. I've seen a few people want Rashad Evans to get another go but I'm not sure.

Rashad had a boring fight last time and I don't think anyone's rushing out to see that.

For me it's AG, who will be killed in short order to prove a point, then OSP or Rumble. But OSP is at least 2 fights away and I reckon they'll do Rumble vs OSP after Bader as Rumble really doesn't have anyone else to fight (he won't fight Rashad). They've booked themselves into a corner there, because even after the Jones fight, DC is on the shelf to get his ****ing knees replaced.

I would feed Belfort to Rumble after suspension (Rematch, Henderson too dangerous, potentially a spoiler) or Rua as that could main event a minor show or embellish a major one, then have him fight DC after for a title opportunity. Then you have OSP vs Bader (OSP wins, because Bader sucks) and then follows with a fight against Glover for a title shot.

Because you can't go outside. It's like 40 even when the sun goes down. Crushing, intolerable heat.

Yeah that's my thinking but the guy has a lot of fans.

OSP Rumble could be really good fun. I'd agree with that though - I suppose it's asking too much to hope Chael somehow revives his career?

Even as a broadcaster is a stretch right now. When they fired him it was a case of: "Keep your head down, stay out of trouble, keep your mouth shut and we'll hire you back as a commentator/analyst in a few months".

Now he's going to war with the Nevada commission over this Metamoris thing and his suspension, and the UFC needs to keep them sweet, as it becomes clearer and clearer that MMA is a drug sport. They fired Rampage, Silva, King Mo, all for pissing off the commission, and Roy Nelson came close for the same. They won't touch him while this is all going on.
