I just think of disappointment whenever Peter Molyneux is mentioned. Not his fault though, he gets excited and people take everything he says as gospel. If he could learn to shut up then everyone would have some fun games and no problem.
That's the one. Also about ten minutes from the huge EA building. Lots of disappointing games come out of Guildford.
Aye, but also all the good ones. Bullfrog was there, as is Media Molecule. Most of the big studios base in Surrey.
Fine. Just ignore me then. I'm not in the right mental or physical state to post any more about Guilford-based game development. I'll stick to tabletop from here on out.

Nah, not my thing, too much mini painting! I play D&D (3.5/4e), Munchkin, Zombicide and a few others. My latest favourite is probably Zombicide or Ugg-Tect. Zombicide has approx 5 billion minis in the full game with expansions but I feel much less compelled to paint the ****ing things.
I've always wanted to play D&D. Why is it I know so many geeks online, but so few in real life? (Not implying you're a geek of course!)
I played a campaign online before. There are things like maptools which allow for multiple people to share a game table, then you can run audio through Skype. It's not too arduous at all. Especially as that was pre-fiber internet. Now it's even smoother! Or just go to your local tabletop shop and talk to people. The game store in Kuwait let me use their space to run modules with a rotating cast of people playing (basically, anyone who signed up in store each week). The people in those places are great (99% of the time) and just want to play.
