Tottenham are renewing their interest in long-term target Serdar Tasci and could soon make a move for the Germany international.

The Stuttgart centre-back has been wanted by Spurs boss Harry Redknapp for some time, and he failed with an attempt to bring the player to White Hart Lane last summer.

But he has been keeping an eye on Tasci ever since and is ready to make a new effort to bring the 24-year-old to the club.

Spurs will face a challenge for Tasci's signature though. The £12 million-rated defender is wanted by Italian sides Juventus and Lazio, and other Premier League clubs are thought to be in the hunt too.

Redknapp can take consolation from the fact that his club have been name-dropped by the player's representative.

His agent Maurizio Gaudino said: "Tottenham and two other English clubs are keen on Serdar.

"No discussions are yet under way, but it's down to the interested clubs to speak with Stuttgart and myself."

Tasci, born in Germany to Turkish parents, has decided now is the time to move on after Stuttgart's disappointing 12th-place finish in the Bundesliga.

If you think that's a bi creative. just seen this on Sky website transfer clockwatch.

Speculation: Gary Cahill is another player who has featured regularly in the gossip columns over the summer and reports are suggesting Arsenal have opened talks over a deal for the Bolton Wanderers defender. However, the Daily Mail says Tottenham are ready to offer a complicated exchange deal to sign Cahill, with Sebastien Bassong, Robbie Keane, Jermaine Jenas and Alan Hutton offered to theTrotters.<party>

Yeah he tried to engineer a move to Arsenal a few years ago(assuming it's the same agent).

I'm sure if we had tried to sign him last summer Lowd Mowf 'Arry would've spilt the beans by now.
