I'm not saying that should be the way it is, but we live in the real world here. He's pissed at the club and wants out. Things could get nasty over the next month. We'll see how badly Pochettino wants him.
Not really. It's simply unprofessional and wil be viewed by many as a black mark on an otherwise remarkable CV.
True. I'm not sure Spurs will match our value though. I think he needs to be put in his place. He's come out and bad-mouthed the club and is now refusing to train. He shouldn't be rewarded with the transfer he wants. If we make him stay until the transfer window shuts then he'll have to stop sulking and get on with it.
Spurs haven't got that sort of money. Swansea wanted £10-12m for Davies, Spurs couldn't pay it. so they threw Gylfi into the deal. That's why they've tried to get Deepay, by putting Chadli into the deal. They do not have enough outright cash to buy the players they want, that's why I believe Morgan will remain a Southampton player.
He either needs to accept that he's not leaving this season or he can rot with the under 21 squad until his contract is up.
I wonder if it's worth taking a punt on Lamela as the player, especially if Clasie is available. He had a non season last year and is a terrific player when on form and now the pirate has gone is a possibility. I would say that he'd never come to us, but then barely played for spurs. Can't see any other option than playing hardball as spurs are never going to pay even close to what he's worth (especially to us)
Read an article in the indie, and Poch (the sneaky twat) wants Lamela to feature heavily. Apparently he had back problem last season.
Should quietly offer him to Man Utd and ask for Hernandez + Kagawa as part of the deal with another £10m on top. Then when Man Utd say you can have the players but no more cash BITE THEIR F***** HAND OFF
Lamela had issues there last year, nothing to suggest he'd find it easier here, especially with his compatriot now their manager. A non-starter. Looking at their squad, there's actually precious little that would be of direct use to us. Not that would be realistic anyway.
It really is incredible with Morgan. I really hope we don't back down. He's got the best job in the world and he is letting everyone down. And ****ing Spurs, never liked them!
