I know Bruce was the only man back when that move started, but bloody hell, he just stood and watched the ball pass him.

Well, Brady certaintly didn't help the defence out :p Jesus, could set up a trailer park on all that space left behind him.

Sorry, can't be arsed to read the whole thread but did anyone else see Stuart Pearce there last night, he walked past me and my dad outside gate 23 and I had to take the opportunity for a handshake. Not as firm as I'd have liked from him.

Yes you can just make out Chester's response to Bruce for not clearing it ...

True enough, Brady was terrible for the first twenty minutes.

****ing hell - I've been to Czech Republic a few times - assuming the languages are similar if not the same as it used to be Czechoslovakia - it's nothing like I have ever heard before.

I've just played the Trencin goal again. If you pause it as the ball is coming across Bruce is looking at it as it's coming across like he's thinking he's in a position where he can clear it then as it gets nearer to him he just seems to give up and looks to his right hoping someone else will clear it. Bizzare.

To me he's running toward his own goal, has to turn, and momentum puts him on his heels. Ridiculous to say he just stood and watched, as he clearly makes a last ditch lunge for the ball.

for me it was the total ineptitude of the 3 at the back

it requires excellent play from your wing backs, and brady was in no mans land, it's not good enough at all, bruce needs to stop relying on it,

for me, the pass fooled everyone, you think he was going to pass to the closest guy on thr left but then malec comes out of nowhere, it's almost like it was a miss pass to me, brilliant finish though

and the amount of space in the midfield areas was appalling, trencin eased through the middle far too much, with no disrespect to them, a better team would of had a field day, and the 3 5 2, is suppose to have a packed midfield

the shape was all over, no cohesion,

Bruce is too busy trying to work out where their incoming forwards are, he's behind you Alex, and gets his feet in the wrong position, not a lot he can do after that.

Brady was the real culprit there. Awful positioning. It's his main job to ensure that that attack never gets going. One goal behind and 10 minutes to go it's forgivable for Brady to be where he was but second minute in a game where an opposition goal is worth potentially so much it's shocking.

Look at Davies once he goes to ground his commitment to try and get some sort of block in is brilliant and a little bit funny.

Their big lump of a striker number 6 who scored Malec looked quite a handful, I had a look at his Wikipedia page and he is only 21!!

Should have been a walk in the park this tie. Not getting an away goal almost proved costly from the first leg.

Last night was an enjoyable game and despite the poor lazy start we should have been 3-1 up by half time. But 2 well taken goals. Build ups and finishes.

Thankfully we got the job done and everyone went home buzzing. Tom Huddleston had a smile on his face and that awful penalty miss is now just a you tube view.

Job done. A nice group of Trencin fans as well.

Also impressed with the programme and the price of it ?

Over the 2 legs the defence has played well. Only one goal conceeded in case you had not noticed. :headbang:
