'I'd go so far as to say it's one of the most underhanded things that a player has ever pulled at our Club. So yes, f** him.' I would have said that accolade went to the player (s) who got Sousa and Laudrup sacked.
The only person who got Laudrup the sack was guess what...Laudrup himself.. you don't get the sack for being a good manager he he he....i love some of the comments on here, it makes my day....
Here's a fact for you too then Vetch. Out of the previous 36 games under Laudrup, we averaged less than a point a game. Monks game to points ratio was also better.
The bottom line,Valley,is despite many people's insistence that Laudrup would get the team relegated,he didn't.He couldn't have, because he had left. In fact,he greatly contributed to them NOT getting relegated. I don't really understand why you,and others ,seem hell bent on trying to prove something COULD have happened, when it didn't. It's called insanity.
It could have happened, look at the form book, hence why the board removed Laudrup and appointed a new manager.
Hey guess what? I could have won the lottery last week. Let's discuss that, shall we. Only problem that may affect your reasoning,is that I didn't buy a ticket. But,using your logic, well,I COULD HAVE WON.
Vetch - I agree with you. Once Laudrup went, it is hypothetical to claim that he would have got us relegated. He may have, he may not have - we will never know. But equally it is "insane/insanity" that others claim that If Laudrup had stayed, we would have progressed in the FA Cup and in the Europa League. Presumably, you would agree?
Seems you're the one with anger issues. I just post my opinion of Michu as I'm entitled to - and perfectly calmly as well. But you keep slapping away if it makes you feel better.
The board had to weigh up their options. There was a possibility we could have gone down under Laudrup, especially with all the rumours and reports of unrest, spilt camp, not turning up for training etc under ML. They put Monk in charge and he kept us up (granted, ML could have done the same thing) thus the board made the right decision for the survival of the club in the PL, although I've alwYs said I'd have liked someone like Hoddle as a DoF to help guide Mnk in terms of transfers etc (Monk has proved us all wrong with ability to bring quality in) Monk has now kicked out those who were against him, correct decision as he is the manager, and if a player isn't on board with a manager he should be shown the door. Monk has now put himself in a position where if he succeeds, then that's great news for us all, f he fails and we go down, he'll have done it all his way and will not be able to use any excuses.
