Im pretty confident we wont be reinstated ; in fact Im certain of it. The only possible way it might happen is if UEFA beome super cautious about interpretation - ok, in our game it clearly could have made no difference - however, what if something similar happened in a closer game , say, a team two goals up with six minutes to go, three up with eleven minutes to go - they might not want to get into the realms of the likely-hood of a result, but keep things black and white.

Its absurd, obviously, but I could see where uefa might feel they need to come from, keep it black and white rather than risk setting precedent and getting into some legal wrangle if it happened between two rich and powerful teams in the latter stages of the champions league.

I'm sure Lawwell will be somewhat ambivalent about all this. On the one hand there's the opportunity to progress and swell the bank balance. On the other, the calls for more investment in the team will grow and he'll have to clear off the cobwebs from the cheque book and actually spend some money.

Anyway, I don't think it's going to happen and I'm not sure that, from a moral and footballing sense, that it should, ie. we're ****ing **** and don't deserve to go through.

• Cons: No more embarrassing pumpfests for Timothy to feel the burn
• Pros: Thousands of unwashed BHEASTS got a semi for **** all and will need to go back to sniffing mummy's panties.
