Well as it looks like Chico is history it's time for Bartley to step up. I actually rate him highly and thnk he can do a job for us.
Bit sad were not going for Matthews, but Naughton is crap. I like the sound of the Argie we are in for though.
Certainly Bartley can do a job for Swansea: but he shouldn't be first choice, nor should Amat (WHO also have a role to play)!
Why shouldn't they be first choice? That is quite snobbish of you. There was a time when Chico was young and Bartley looks to become a much much much better player.
So in short, they've let seven fist team players go (replaced or added 3) but otherwise haven't scooby who (if anyone) will replace them!!! And I was incredulous yesterday!
When Amat tweeted pics of his wedding, he did not have pictures of Poz, Canas etc. but Rangel was there so may be he will be settled with us. I think he will be on bench ahead of Bartley
Did we see Chico at the same age as Bartley? Different styles. Chico is a footballer, Bartley is more like Ash - no so much a footballer as stopper / sweeper although Bartley has more of old fashioned centre half about him. Chico complemented Ash really well and fitted journal pasing style. A huge loss and it means we are now in need of 3 of 4 across the back plus a dm just to stand still.
Amat is the most likely to replace Chico as he will pair well with Rangel, but do not pay any attention to Jinx's smoke screen, Monk has already gone public that we are still wanting to bring in 2 or 3 more players, and one of those is definitely Chico's replacement!................
