I agree, I've long since just used the Xbox, and as I start using the One more, I'll probs get in the habit of using it for pretty much everything, it seems an amazing bit of kit, I've just not really played around with it much yet. It's fairly obvious as soon as you switch it on (then wait 2 hours for 3.7 million updates...) that it was very much designed to be more than a console, although the menu's are a bit fussy and will take a bit of getting used to.
Apparently the stadiums are going to have real sound effects from the crowds as well, it's a shame Wigan or Boro aren't in the Prem for this reason, that would have been hilarious.
You can upload your own, always have been able to. I keep meaning to do this from YouTube etc, but never actually done it. Problem is if you add one, it removes all the CPU generated sounds, so you'd literally have to load chant after chant in or you'd just have Shearer is a ****er on loop. I like the net design and physics system, should look great when you score a raker.
I don't mind them, but they should give the option to do them when you are finished, I know it's still a new piece of tech and I expect updates, but the first time you plug it in, it's about 20 mins wait, and that's with 150mb cable broadband. ****ing frustrating man. Personally, I can't get used to Sony pads, too small, and Xbox have a lot of exclusives whereas Sony's, well, nothing I really would like, even Gran Turismo, the big Sony exclusive, I think it a bit 'all show no go' actually dull apart from the presentation. I've seen One's online for £300 now so the price gap isn;t there, and it becomes very much personal choice.
http://uk.ign.com/wikis/xbox-one/PS4_vs._Xbox_One_vs._Wii_U_Comparison_Chart This might help you. Bear it in mind that Microsoft write the software for the xbox and if you use windows you know how **** it is. The PS4 has better graphics.
I wouldn't argue that either is currently the better option, apart from the fact that Titanfall wipes the floor with anything on PS4. However, I trust Microsoft to develop the XB1 over the years much better than Sony do with the PS4 and also I trust MS to secure more of the exclusives that matter. Xbox Live Gold offers numerous great perks online as well for XB1 such as free games here and there and access to loads of other stuff, not sure what Sony offer on their system as rewards. I'm happy with my choice, but I don't play it too often to tell the truth.
That old chestnut! Ironically Sony's tagline is "For the gamers" yet they haven't delivered a single top exclusive and have been found over at Respawn Studios begging them to make Titanfall for the PS4. Do you buy a console for graphics or for games? Only one has so far delivered both and excelled. XB1 has been a tougher nut to crack for developers, but it's what they're paid to do.
There is a slight difference, but it really is miniscule. I think there's a bit more contrast in the One, which is where the PS is really strong, but personally, I think that it's more to do with how you personally set up your TV etc being such a small difference.
Yeah they are frustrating but it's more frustrating getting none, when the system feels crap. Sony haven't delivered a single significant update in 9 months! Gran Turismo used to be the bollocks mind, loved that game. Project Cars will wipe the floor with that, a game exclusive to next gen consoles.
I'm sure there's a fair few people p'd off that the xbox one isn't backwards compatible. Can't understand why they did that.
I agree on that, doesn't really affect me personally, but I can understand why it would some. I think people are always gonna have their favourite, I never had an original Xbox I was a PS man, I switched to Xbox when the PS3 was continually delayed, and I preferred it instantly. For all it has flaws, Xbox live is superb and pisses all over PS service (I know it's free on PS, but then, £20 a year is no big deal to me..), I prefer the pads, I think the One looks better (matter as it lives in my living room) and as Terry has mentioned, I have absolute faith that Microsoft will continue to develop and improve the system, whereas Sony's 'for the gamers' line seems to say it all. Both, lets be straight, are fantastic, the way these things have developed last 20 years is mind blowing.
The new stuff runs off totally different engines, but funnily enough MS have started looking at it and reckon it might be a possibility. Pointless in my opinion unless the games can be upscaled, they should have either made sure it was compatible at launch or just never bothered. I could think of maybe 2 games I'd purchase if I could pick up a 360 game and play it on my One.
Tiger Woods 10 was special. I'd probs still play that. I'd love a proper good rally game, like the old Colin McRae's with the full championship on.
Yeah Colin Mcrae on the playstation was unreal, I bought WRC 4 last year on 360 that was alright, got the full WRC tour on it, not every stage but as good as I've seen, better than the Dirt franchise but not like the old Colin Mcrae games for sheer entertainment. I'd buy Fallout 3 since I haven't played it much yet seemed to have missed a trick, I'd buy Skyrim ashamedly I just got addicted to it, and I'd have bought GTA5 but don't need to now that it's being lined up for One.
Can't wait for GTAV, despite having finished it. Some of the long flying sequences were ****ing tedious mind, not keen on doing them again, and the ****ty Yoga bollocks, ha.
