Saying thudd should be playing the holding role for England, he's making a good case but taking some stick on twitter. It's a good debate

One of the better new pundits in my opinion. Talks a lot of sense, as proven by the above!

He seems to have convinced a few now, it's just the ones that don't think a hull player should be in an England team

    Agree with this.

He's not as egotistical as many pundits.

He is not a monosyllabic knob unlike many celebrity players who try to impart their wisdom.

    He defends his opinions coherently.

He talks a lot of sense.

This ^ I think we might need to win the premier league four times and lift the champions league, before an England manager even considers a Hull city player.

It'll be interesting to re-read these opinions after tonight when an open goal miss from 2 yards might prove very costly....

Huddlestone and Davies will get selected this season.

I think players like Hudderstone and Carrick don't get the credit they deserve because they're not English style players. They don't tear around the pitch putting in crunching tackles.

Hmm, not too sure about that. Every English football fan and media outlet ****ed over deep lying midfielder Andrea Pirlo as he singlehandedly destroyed us at walking pace in the last 2 tournaments. And I dont think I've ever seen him even attempt a tackle.

I don't think we have had such a player since Bryan Robson.

He should be in the squad, especially since the retirement of Gerrard.

He didn't singlehandedly destroy us though.

Only because we single-handedly destroyed ourselves(and he was still better than anyone on our team).

He was poor IMO, like his teammates. Italy went out for a reason.

I know he was. I was just being 'everyone'.

I had talk sport on after his terrible performance v Costa Rica and people were texting in saying how amazing pirlo is/was.

Adrian Durham was getting pissed off that everyone always says how amazing pirlo is, even when he's been absolutely ****e, just because he's pirlo. I agreed with him.
