Champions/Europa League 2014/15

Discussion in 'Liverpool' started by Garlic Klopp, Aug 6, 2014.

  1. I was asked last night if I wanted to do a trip to Germany to watch some of the football. Bloody family commitments <grr>

A weekend job with more than one game? In that case, this area wouldn't be a bad option - you've got Cologne, Leverkusen, Schalke and Dortmund all as Bundesliga teams within easy reach, and Düsseldorf, Duisberg and Bochum in the second division. So plenty of options on any particular weekend.

Strangely, German towns don't tend to have more than one big team. Munich and Berlin both have one team in the first division and one in the second (I think).

  10. it was only a brief chat as I said I couldn't do it fairly quickly. I don't think they'd planned it yet, may involve a bit of traveling too as they said a couple of nights <ok>

I'm now having visions of you surrounded by chunks of your family members...

Any family still here at all?

My maternal Grandmother was from there. I have a great Aunt living there now- I think one of my cousins may live there too. I don't know the German quarter of my family too well (know my Eastern European qtr even less)... They were half from Heiligenhaus (nr Dusseldorf) - and half from Juterbog in East Germany.

Got family living in Munich now- although ancestrally not from there. (I don't think... but I really don't know... lol) My Mum's parents split up after the uprising in Hungary and never was too close to that part of the family afterwards.
