Pardon me while I feel a self-loathing smugness about arguing with you all about Lennon.

Whether he had the players he wanted or not, Lennon would've put a team out with a bit of dig last night.

Every manager deserves at least a season and it genuinely isn't Deila's fault in what he's inherited.

But, the style of play last night (bumbling midfield - too committed with too many 10 yard side to side passes 30 yards from their goal) didn't remind me of Mowbray.

It was more like the "philosophy over tactics" approach of Barnes.

Rumour I've heard is that a couple of core players aren't liking the new training regime (Mulgrew being one of them) - couple that with the lack of tactical spine now and a couple of wallopers like Griffiths who Lennon could possibly control and RD probably won't be able to control and we have got one stinking mis-matched jobby of a team right now.

We've **** all to lose now this year, if anyone in the team doesn't like the new manager's training regime then they can go. VVD can **** off anaw, he was ****e last night - if we get anywhere near 8 figures bite their hand off.

And Mulgrew is the captain , shouldn't be anywhere near a celtic team , you now see what role Brown plays and what role samaras used to play and how badly they're missed

Delia's issue is trying to change too much too soon...

However, it's not his fault that team was weak.

Last season we got skelped in champions league and the squad is much weaker.

It goes to show what a loss Broon is...

I was optimistic at the start of last season, incredibly, hard to take any positives from what we are seeing now which is the result of short sighted policy.

I think we all expected at least some decent investment, considering the money they have been taking in over the last few years from CL and selling the best players, but there has been nothing. I have been saying for a long time, the board have been taking liberties because they know they can get away with it, I dont see it lasting much longer.

We were on the waiting list for well over a year to get a season book, you could walk up to Parkhead these days and buy 50. We dont expect to compete financially with the big boys, but we expect the best standard Celtic team that is possible within our means on the park, and we are not getting it. We dont really care about the balance as long its safe, the fans spend money to support a football team, not the profitable business model of some billionaire, we expect even our money to go towards strengthening the team, but none of the money seems to be.

I dont want to judge them on a couple of early season games but I get the feeling the likes of Mathews, Van Dijk and Foster want out. The likes of Izzaguire just going through the motions, what a shadow of the player he was a few years ago.

As Venom said, vote with your feet, leave them be to run their little business and maybe when the accountants raise issue they will see how they are alienating the people who make it all possible.

Have to agree Eddster. I can't complain too much because I don't have a Season Book, the people who do have my sympathies are the paying punters because they are getting the absolute pish ripped out of them by the club/board.

Hopefully this is a watershed moment and the board will realise that they can't do this anymore without consequences. The ****s have banked squllions over the last few years and invested practically **** all in playing staff. I, like the majority of Tims, don't expect us to start spending cash like a man with no arms, but I do expect to see a few (2 or 3) players in the £4-5m bracket. We can't keep saying that players are vastly overpriced we just have to accept the fact and spend regardless.

You need to speculate to accumulate and getting CL football is our biggest potential revenue stream so we need to spend money to get there. In the last few seasons we've complained that the board don't spend until CL football was guaranteed, but we have'nt even done that.

Why would the board spend £20m on players to cakewalk the SPL?

Liewell and Celtic play the long game. They know that Rangers will be back soon, they want 10 in a row, they'll bank the cash knowing that for every fiver Rangers spend, they'll spend £5.30 and try and get 10.

But what calibre of player wants to play in Scotland. We used to be able to entice players with attractive remuneration packages but no can't even compete with League 1 or 2 in Nigeland.

It's ****ed. Only way forward is produce our own and I don't think your average *****-fan has the appetite, nor the patience to see it through.

There is no perfect business model for football teams . You have to be flexible

We are acting as though starving ourselves is the only way to stop us getting fat and dying
