Another key signing, if he performs anywhere near his WC displays, could be the enforcer we desperately need, and take a little pressure of Joey.
I guess I'm rating him as I see him now. If he's our best player, maybe. I'm not sure he will be our best player, though.
Whatever happens we have got ourselves a €10m player on a reasonable loan fee. Good business in my book. Considering Juventus paid over £12m for him, if he turns out to be a success €10m doesn't seem such a bad deal. Either way it's a low risk low investment for us. Win/win situation.
Actually when you convert the Euro amounts into sterling it's not a bad deal....€1.2m loan = approx £950k.....€10m fee = approx £7.9m payable over 2 years.....pretty decent in today's daft transfer market.....
I assume we get first refusal at the end of the coming season. Depending on how he performs €10m [£7.9m] could well be a bargain!
