We have some massive displays of intelligence on here and it would be wrong for me to pop chart - other than to say I am no 1 - the mull of kintyre of intellects. (Your in the list if course)

I'll come armed with conkers in a grey sock.

You'll bring the spud gun, AllHell will arrive with a dog-**** on a stick, and Captain B will flick ink-balls off a ruler.

If the tide turns against us, FHB can lift his kilt and scare off the enemy.

Time i think to draw a close on the Reamer. He has fed on the combination of insults and dismissals like a bottom feeder at sewage discharge point. We recognise him for what he is, a bully with a limited turn of phrase. He has achieved a unification of the posters on this site into recognising that we are a better informed, more lucid and erudite forum than others available. We should now all recognise that if we ignore him he will go away back to his hole lick his wounds and attack some other soul with an independent opinion.

By the way if he has secured the email addresses of posters through his role on ITTV he should consider advising these people of this acquisition of personal data or destroy it before he is referred to the information commissioner.

As a further aside i am advised by some younger people of my acquaintance that "Reaming" is a street phrase apparently describing a form of anal sexual stimulation practised by people with unhealthy tendencies which would be illegal in some African and Muslim countries. I wonder whether there is more to the name than meets the eye.

Has anyone noticed the similarity between today's argument and the start of the 1st Word War?

Trying to explain last nite in the darkness to my lad, why WW1 started and why no nation could back down due to historic agreements, empires, cousins fighting etc and it was a war that was always going to happen. I think the thoughts used at the time was swords were placed upon each other so precarious that should one be pulled from the pile they would each clatter upon each other causing sparks and blood to spill.

Reams is Germany of course. Vol is Serbia and not 606 are the triple alliance. Germany attacks Serbia under the pretence of a outrage that nobody cared or worried about and the triple alliance desperate to protect its boarders from the smell of Greggs and microchips declares war on Germany. And the **** hits the fan. Gentleman we have ww1 relived on a message board.

Ponders - we're having a big family gathering at Bellingham, not too far from Kielder Water. A couple of years ago we stayed not very far from Dunstanburgh, although we didn't visit it.

Today I had a rabbit and black pudding pie for lunch, and I'm pretty certain it's the best pie I shall ever eat.

I am desperately jealous, Captain B.

You'll be near to Riding Wood, a place of absolute beauty. I'm sure I saw a pixie there.

If you are ever near to Craster, try a crab sandwich from the Jolly Fisherman.

I think you mean when the Arch Duke of Austro- Hungary got shot?

The finest comedy critique of the blackest moments in world history. I am told it is now played in schools as a pre educator on the morals and reasons of WW1 - I will buy that tomorrow and play it to my boy.

Unfortunately I am currently a contractor and am working on two jobs simultaneously. One in London and one in Yorkshire. It is not sensible to post whilst driving hence the sparse nature of my posting. Unlike the source of our ire on this thread I do make some pre season as well as most home matches and possibly the ocasional visit to Leeds and Sheffield. On what i have seen to date I am not convinced with all of the signings or the ability of the manager to weld a team together out of disparate players. The owner has spent money but unlike the limited spending that. powell undertook in 2011, it does not show signs of of a coherent plan. I hope to be proved wrong and that there will be a superglue moment when a coherent team appears from the tunnel.

My forum's bigger and better than your forum.......... How pathetic. I thought we were all Charlton fans but it seems to me that it's more a question of scoring the most brownie points. Having been on ITTV earlier this year I was shocked and dismayed at the abuse Chris Powell was getting from reams and his lemming cronies. Anybody who liked Chris were called all sorts of names, told to **** off to another forum. Just who the **** does reams think he is? His dad once worked at the club in the 80s, but that doesn't make him a true fan, he doesn't seem (from posts last season) to go to many games - unlike me and thousands of other fans - and as for his 'scoops' on who we are signing or should sign, has he got a crystal ball or vivid imagination?

Rant over - and putting crash helmet on in anticipation of having abuse thrown at me now because I don't hang on his every word.

    @ Super

I might be worth locking this thread now, entertaining as it 'was', to starve Paul of the oxygen of publicity over on his own dwindling site. I see he has started on typical now.

Before that is done though to put reamer in place. He slagged off a well known cafc fan last season who then posted a reply to the reamer who then did his homework and realised who it was (ie someone between 18-70) and the grovelling snivelled apology that came back was a masterpiece of watching reamer cacking his own pants. (If that is at all noticeable)

The bloke is just a disgusting pie muncher living in shadows.
