I think the bit that makes Mooney look bad is where he's got his middle finger up.

And his face is bad too.

    All round bad.

Not read all the thread but I just find it off putting that our name is not mentioned anywhere.

They're giving away 500 points to anybody who buys the shirt (not sure if it was for today only?)

The marketing people have managed to **** up the car parking for tomorrow night - they haven't sent the passes out for no reason whatsoever so rather than have chaos with people claiming they've paid, Walton Street is free for everyone - total shambles - no-one tells him how to run a business - ****ing useless

A bit like parking at the Baltimore Orioles stadium back in the day. I always tried to avoid parking in front of a crack house, but sometimes it was hard to accomplish.

Did you live out East in the past Ellewoods? The reason I ask is that I lived in Silver Spring for 3 years as a kid in the late sixties and remember that the Orioles were very succesful during the time I was there. That time still ranks as one of the best periods of my life and I always said I would live there when I grew up but that never materialised, as other things like a job, marriage and kids came along.

I wasn't really into Baseball or American Football in those days and come to think of it I wasn't really aware of Hull City AFC at that point but once I came back to England and my Dad took me to my first game at BP, I was hooked.

Yea I was born in Wyoming but I grew up on the border of VA and WVA in rural Loudoun County (not very rural anymore) minus a 5 year stint in Europe. I have only lived on the West Coast for just about 2 years now. I went to college in Fairfax and worked in DC for 6 years. We used to go watch Yankees games at Camden Yards when they came into town. If you lived in Silver Spring in the late 60's you missed the wave of crack that hit DC and Baltimore. Silver Spring has changed a lot since you lived there most of MD isnt very appealing. Basically DC and Northern VA pushed out all the low income housing and homeless shelters and due to property values everyone ended up in Prince George's and Montgomery counties. So your old area with being really developed is one of the higher gang and lower income places in the general area sorry to say.

if you use the car park I hope you're still saying that at full time when is bursting because its free and it takes over an hour to get out - maybe if you had an IQ you'd get the point

If Walton is free, it looks like getting a spot in St. Stephens or the Hospital car park next to the walkway will be much easier...

So it's the inconvenience of the car park being busier than normal that has upset you? Instead of being grateful that that it's free you are concerned you might be home a little later. What a nightmare! How dare the club do such a thing. 10 quid a ticket and free parking. Set of bastards.

Maybe full price and a fiver to park would be better. The stadium would be half empty but at least you'd be home on time. Or would you have complained about that too? I think I know the answer.

We've not decided how we're getting to the game yet. If we do use the car park we'll do what we always do. Go to the pub while it clears. Have a pint and a chat about the game. It's much less stressful than sitting in a traffic jam. You should try it.

Oh, and one more thing. Everyone has an IQ, some are just higher than others.

I've always wanted to do a Columbo.

Oh dear sounds pretty grim, that's a real shame, as it was great growing up there in the sixties. I haven't been back there since the late 70's and it had already changed quite a bit then but not to that degree.

Anyway, thanks for the update, I was thinking of having a look around next time I'm over there but might give it a miss now.
