Not sure of the timings but Gio's run of form may have coincided with Lennons, and when Lennon has been out, he may have been out on loan, dunno, but something doesn't appear to fit. Harry clearly takes a dim view of youngsters out in pubs n clubs, and the pic of him being carried out of one just set the wrong tone from the off, Harry made a comment sometime later, indicating he didn't learn from it...no desire! Another short-arse anyway...cash him in!
As I know, from living in Spain, if you don't make any effort to at least learn the basics of the language, then you cannot communicate effectively - and pretty soon you are going to start feeling a bit isolated. I'm not sure if that's part of his problem; but, if Like Pav, he doesn't make an effort to learn, then he's not gonna be very happy in the U.K.
Bueno amigo. tengo que irme. Aqui, es despues de medianoche. Hasta manana. I've got to go, it's past midnight here. see you tomorrow.
I know that this is a massive "if" so please don't shout me down. But if it is being contemplated to let Lennon leave for 'Pool, would you guys like to see Gio being given a chance on the right of midfield?
No, he has not been considered good enough when Lennon has been injured so don't see why he would step up now. If you recall was given a run at the start of the season but did nothing in 4or 5 games while Lennon recovered. Besides, Lennon must not go to Liverpool. They will be big rivals and we cannot improve them.
Once again, I've not seen enough of him to comment. Does he have any pace? 'cos if he's going to take Lennon's place, he needs it. It all seems academic, to me, anyway, as Harry clearly doesn't like him.
Ignoring my opinion that the Lennon deal is a non-starter. I certainly wouldn't have him as Lennon's replacement as he'd be first choice, with only Bentley as backup.
There's always Townsend who IMO should be getting quite a few games this season (CC/Early FA/Europa). He was awesome in the Cup game v Charlton and as a lefty playing RW it provides another dynamic. I know we shouldn't base anything on one game against poor opposition, but I've seen him quite a few times now and he does seem to have that something extra out of the young 'uns.
I know a couple of Millwall fans and they were very impressed with Townsend. I hope that he can make the step up, but a loan may be the best thing for him next season.
I kinda want GDS to stay and see what he can do as a striker. He seems to be quick and have an eye for goal. Besides, he couldn't be much worse than what we've been dealing with lately up front.
