I wonder how the away tickets have been sold for this one, I'd expect more Hull based Slovakians to attend, than Slovakian based ones, I wonder if there was a way for them to get tickets?
I am fully in favour of unreserved seating and I have my ticket. Many long standing pass holders who are less social media aware do not. You still seem to be saying that season ticket holders should have no priority. I disagree.
I never got a ticket in the North Stand yet was so looking forward to trying my new seat out ooo boo hooo. Actually it was my own stupid fault for not going for a ticket sooner . It's a sell out......Brilliant I have tickets for me and the juniors....Brilliant We are in Europe....Brilliant So many posatives NO NEGATIVES
The club had exactly a week to sell the tickets, how many days would you have given pass holders priority for, maybe 3/4? Leaving 2 days and pay on the gate to fill the other 10,000 seats. It just wasn't feasible, every pass holder had the opportunity to get a ticket I don't think the club can be blamed for those 'less social media aware' not getting tickets., there wasn't time to run a print or mail campaign. I'm sure for the bigger games pass holders will get priority (and rightly so), but with such a short turn around and a risk of low ticket sales it just wasn't worthwhile this time.
I don't believe it IS all ticket, or rather it wasn't when the tickets went on sale. Anyway I don't honestly know what you're moaning about. Have you got a ticket? If so, hey presto!
Yes stop bloody moaning Your alive !!!! Be happy and love everyday Even if / when get thrashed !! Hugs
I've been on this forum for the last two to three years probably but just as a guest. I've now taken the steps to join and this is the first message I've properly posted. Just one thing gets me, this is by far the greatest time to be a city supporter, I'm 44 and followed them since I was five or six, been through the good and the bad and this is the good, the really good, so the one thing that gets me is, why are so many people moaning, I mean Christ, ok our owner is slightly crazy, owners come and go, we've had far worse, yes prices have gone up but so has the standard of football, we've sold out a Europa game, but because it's not allocated seating we've failed to sell out the full stadium, ok, who'd have thought we'd have sold out. I remember when Millwall got into Europe and their ground for the home leg was half empty, Stoke a couple of years ago in Europe, never sold out their stadium, so we got taken by surprise because the fans of City are more passionate than other clubs fans and want to be a part of this amazing journey. As they said in the Lego movie, Everything is Awesome, so enjoy the ride. The dark days I have no doubt will return, but I'll still love the rollercoaster ride. We've had plenty to moan about in the past, but now, well, we should be high as kites. Enjoy. UTT
Yes I suppose we should all just adopt the attitude of " I've got a ticket so who cares about anybody else "
Yes it is but we should not have to leave 2,500 empty seats. That is the whole point. The segregation policy is madness. If we draw say Celtic in the PO round, now that will be fun. Celtic fans could/would fill the north stand on their own. No segregation either i bet and plenty of beer on sale. Self Self Self. I am alright Jack. Lol.
No segregation of fans. We do not do that in any sport in the US. Part of the reason is that nobody here goes to away games. The university I attended did not sell beer at the stadiums but this might have been different as the teams were not college teams. Our pro sports always sell beer clearly, there is a cut off time at most sports to help prevent drunk driving. Baseball its the 7th inning hockey its the start of the 3rd period. I am not sure what it is in the MLS.
It's not segregation, it's 10% of all stands that have to be left empty, due to us selling unreserved seating for this game, it's not our choice.
Why did we do unreserved seating then? Was it just a mistake in realizing how many people wanted to go to the game?
It is the principal of it all that annoys me most. The entire segregation process needs a root and branch overhaul regardless of domestic or european games. No need for it anymore. We are way past the awful days of the 80's.
Probably. That combined with the fact that there was only a limited amount of time to sell the tickets and the demand increasing when the first leg was a draw. If it's reserved seating, all the tickets have to be sold via the ticket office and they're already late getting the season tickets out. If it's unreserved, the tickets can just be sold from the two club shops and it's a much quicker and simpler process.
No, when the seating is unreserved, those seats need to remain empty. I'm not sure if they'll do pay on the gate for the Slovakian fans, as many will be from Hull, but I doubt it, on a sold out game you risk it filling up with City fans.
