Meltdown city on this board nowdays Rodgers dared say something abut VG He also said good words about him as well but of course no one sees that As for defending Moyes what do you have to say about Fergie and Charlton doing so?
The only rattle likely to sound off from Anfield this season is the rattle of the Shankley gates as they lock up But what am I saying, that's been true for the last 25 years
Lets be fair, as much as we know this is an early (and somewhat lame) attempt at mindgames, Brenda's rant isnt completely without precedent. There have been plenty of managers who have been successful in other countries or at other clubs, and then failed dismally in new roles. Scolari, AVB (twice), Moyes did okay at Everton and then moved 30 miles up the road and completely ****ed it up....
to be fair these other managers hadnt had great success in 3 different countries and on the international stage so he doesnt really have a point at all. he was trying to be clever. van gaal will embarrass him all season, on and off the pitch.
Well Scolari had actually won the world cup with Brazil when he came to the PL, but you are right in that the above managers didnt have quite the pedigree of LVG upon Arrival. We will just have to wait and see. The renewed post-Suarez/Post-Moyes United-Liverpool battle is one of the things I am most looking forward to this season. Essentially one of the main reasons Liverpool were so good has been removed, and one of the main reasons United were so **** has also been removed, so it will be interesting to see which one out does the other or whether they will meet somewhere in the middle......cant wait.......(as long as Chelsea win the league )
Liverpool fans arent looking forward to it. everything was going so well, Moyes was in the job for years, Rodgers was a god, Suarez was never leaving and would never do something stupid again. The a small period of time passed.
Its true though. I admire the stance taken by you guys though. Still holding the belief you will be even better. I hope you are and that we still beat you out of the top 4. being honest though, and someone will inevitably cry because I said this..... but City are my pick to fall out of the top 4.
Really? Over Arsenal AND Liverpool? Interesting.....not heard anyone say that before. What do you base that idea on?
Have a look at them. Its becomes clear very quickly. City dont have enough players to fulfil the PL and CL home grown quotas. They continue to sell or release home grown players they have made little movement in the transfer market. They cant make much anyway due to sanctions. Their star player doesnt want to be there at all their best striker is always injured their best defender is getting found out more and more often Its anything but picture perfect at city right now.
I said exactly the same thing to my mate the other day, I think City will lose out of the top 4 this year.
Look at their squad though And been linked with Falcao as well now I know best players dont make the best team but Pelligrini seems to be a good manager
Is the right answer. In addition to playing to the kopite crowd (which he's good at in fairness). It'll be interesting to see if the press manage to force a response out of him, as they'll definitely try.
