How will we be feeling at 5pm Saturday, how will we take the first defeat and will Hock take the flack from us. Too many potential pit-falls for the Hock to deal with and that can only be the fault of MC because he put him in this position. I suppose the best thing for all concerned is that we get off to a flyer and don't drop any points for the first month. Tough ask because we have some tough games in that period and if it goes bad the Hock will come under massive pressure and Cellino could just pull the plug on Hock and say it was too big a job for him and bring in someone else.
Add to that Doc, the crowd for the first couple of games and their reaction to progress or lack of it. While Cellino is very much his own man, he seems in tune with the fans and anxious to have them on board. On a side note, can you imagine what his reaction would have been after the Sheff Wed debacle last season if he was the owner? He'd have sacked everyone at the club
Emanuele Giulianelli tweet ; Rumours from Sardinia: Adryan could be close to Leeds. I'm trying to find out more, not sure about that. This lad is normally quite reliable so I'll keep an eye on twatter. Tends to deal in hard facts though, not rumours, so not sure how credible this is.
Morning all - I don't believe that we have enough goals in the team for a top 6-8 but that could change if we still have a striker on the shopping list or if the gamble that is Ajose pays off. Would really like to see the Sorenson deal finalised...
If we finalise the Sorenson deal (aside the fact i'm a miserable *rse and I'm still not happy about Hockaday), i'll actually have a semi-on over how the squads developing. Enjoy your lunch with that thought in mind folks
Doc, it seems to me that Haigh is in prison because GFH are trying to build a bullshit case against him ... he's been there three months now and is yet to be questioned, and that is crazy because if they had evidence, and I mean irrefutable evidence against him surely charges would have been brought by now ... Cellino found things he felt were rubbish in the numbers GFH presented to him, and remember Haigh had left GFH by then so had nothing to do with the sale to Cellino ... after threats from Cellino to go to court GFH backed down and agreed a new deal, which has effectively cost them the handsome sum of £10m ... so who were the crooks really? It's not a coincidence that Haigh was set up by GFH and banged up without charge after Haigh stated publicly he had damning evidence against GFH ... no, for me it is important that Cellino buy these thieves out and gets them out of our club permanently, it makes me sick to think they still own 25% of Leeds United ... Doc, look past the "Tory" thing and be objective, GFH are rotten and they are probably going to get away with it, because they clearly have unlimited time to develop any kind of case they want against Haigh which means they will silence him, which is their goal
@PhilHay - Soresen signing on loan from Juventus for a fee of around £500,000. Leeds have the option to buy him for around £3.5m next summer. #lufc @PhilHay - In Cellino's words, Frederik Soresen to Leeds is complete and he's been training at Thorp Arch today. #lufc Yesssss great signing and we can get him for good if he does well this season
So we replaced Tom Lees with a £4m signing if we take up the option at the end of the season, someone who has played in Serie A is young and highly rated......seems like decent business imo.
Carefully noted. Hard not to feed the wallies though, they feed off every tiny scrap they can find here
It would appear we have agreed a fee with Liverpool to buy Conor Cody a young boy of 21 played for the blades last season mid field
Millwall have confirmed that they will be without Nicky Bailey, Richard Chaplow and Ed Upson for their Championship season-opener against Leeds United this Saturday. Oh dear oh dear. They must be nervous about having to play the mighty whites....
These loans with options to buy... I wonder what Cellino is thinking... I have a feeling he is going for promotion despite what he claims, if we manage it then we sign the players but what if we don't? I would hope if these loan players turn out to be decent we still sign them if we are not within sniffing distance of promotion or next season we will be back to square one, maybe I am just thinking too far ahead
Promotion or not I think this is a good way to do business. Many of these players have "potential" and don't forget, even half decent players can fail to make it when trying to adjust in another country. If they turn out to be good, sign them next season. If not, get rid.
Ristac I think he his adopting a system of try before you buy if they don't come up to scratch they go back
