Edit: double post. Website appears to be having the same problem as last year where the "leave page" & "stay on page" option appears, but posts your message twice.
We'll be "up there" all season, only to slip up at the end, by only gaining 6 points from the last 8 games I'm going to be top scorer
I almost didn't put Palace, as I knew you'd pipe up. Whoever Pulis manages, they will be solid. I think Palace will do what Hull did last year. A comfortable midtable finish for me, where they'll pick up some surprising results.
Just saying a team name for surprise team is a cop out. They get relegated, you can say it's a surprise, they get 10th it's a surprise. They get 17th, you can say I expected them to win the league and I am surprised. Got to say what they will do to surprise. Rant over

It's actually more important now, the winner not only takes home a decent trophy but also qualifies for the Champions League the following season. You could argue that winning the Europa is an easier task than fighting for 4th too. I'd happily finish 10th in the league if it meant winning Europa. Silverware over top 4 any day, the bonus of Champions League football is also a nice sweetener and an added incentive to take the competition seriously.
1st Man city 2nd Man Utd 3rd ars*nal 4th Chelsea 5th Liverpool 6th Spurs 7th Newcastle (big gap to a group squabbling below us and Everton I think will struggle with Europe and League with their small squad so picked a vaguely reasonable team at random..... even though Pardew is in charge). Hiag I knew you join the Pulis bandwagon although as for Spurmy, there is more chance of him firing blanks then Pulis and Palace.
I'd be delighted to see Spurs win this, but at the moment we don't know which teams drop in from the CL qualifiers this month and again, which teams will drop in from the CL until December so it's impossible to call it yet. With the winner getting a CL place then every team reaching the knock out stages will be selecting strong teams and all will be in with a realistic chance of winning.

The kiss of death? Pundits in a Fail article name a team that will surprise: Keown: Tottenham. They have an outstanding manager in Mauricio Pochettino, who has a very clear way of playing. Their full backs will attack and there will be good movement. Carragher: I agree. Spurs have not bought many players yet but I rate Pochettino and expect a strong challenge for fourth place. They have a squad full of talent. Robson: Hull City could do well. Spurs also have a good squad. Well, that surprises me. I thought the fact that we have a talented squad and a manager who may be a good fit for it was lost in all the hype about Man U + Van Gaal, Liverpool - Suarez + a bunch, and the ongoing Mourinho soap opera.
