If Bartley replaces Chico (until he gets injured that is...) our back up defence and midfield looks like this; ------------- Tremmel -------------- --------- Tancock -- Amat ---------- Tiendalli -------------------- Kingsley ---------- Fulton --- Jazz ----------- ----------------- Ki ----------------- ....with less than a fortnight and 1 more friendly to go. I wonder why Bony wants out? We are a ****ing shambles.
Mikra what is the point of your email exactly? We would never field that team. I think it's time for you to stick to your local team, the one you don't hate...
SWEP says we are also in for Geoff Cameron of Stoke. Their defenders know how to defend. He'd be a good replacement.
Probably want a couple of extra million. that said, with Celtic all but out of the CL already, they ain't in a position to argue as they will need the money desperately to re build.
Anybody heard anything on Azeez? http://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/swansea-city-linked-renewed-bid-7557211
The point of posting that backline was to AGREE with Terror, that the backup players in Swansea aren't good enough, as the management has sold many of the players WHO were squad players or backup last season. Now they're apparently selling the stars too. I can't see why you're not worried by this; I suppose it's because you're more interested in bullying me (it was Terrors OP - why don't you ask him?). You won't succeed in that so F*** off! Just for the record: I don't hate Swansea, and I certainly won't much time or feelings of that strength on you, Champignon...
Mikra I'm not interested in bullying you at all, although I do apologize it wasn't your OP. Sorry for that. I'm just fed up with your (and some others') constant negativity. Why not try to see the bright side? There are tens of thousands of people here in Swansea really looking forward to the new season (plus some who aren't, admittedly). You're getting a distorted view of things over there in Copenhagen.
Thank you. Of course I'm far away. And my information IS undoubtedly based media. I fully recognize the excitement of football fans prior to a seasons beginning, to see new players and tactical twitches made etc.
I disagree , we have and for what ever reason the best we can hope for atm is the squad which will be no stronger than last season, where's De Guzman who was another Laudrup signing ? a like for like goal keeper , Gylfi for Michu , no replacement for Ben atm , when you think of all the money made with this years sponsorship other sides have strengthened we've spent hardly anything to improve the squad just kept the status quo imo. The two signings of Gomis & Montero look positive but which both untried at this level .We have a a strong 1st team but I don't believe we're stronger overall atm, that hopefully will improve .
I do not see a mass exodus more a trimming of dead wood. Michu great first season rubbish second. Hernandez 10% brilliant 90% crap. Pozuelo gave the ball away too often and did not deliver much. Vasquez Goal scorer who couldn't score. Lamah not Pemier League standard. Canas not in Leon's class nor ever likely to be. Chico Good player but also a liability and could be more so this season with officials aware of his antics. De Guzman I liked but could the money needed to sign him be better spent elsewhere Vorm not so good last season and was never going to turn down Spurs. Ben liked by some and not by others and who can blame him for taking the opportunity to join Spurs. Gwion Edwards was not a first team player. Lita and N'gog the least said the better. So a lot of players gone but with the new players already signed and performing well and probably some more arriving I don't see any need for panic.
12:08 TRANSFER TALK If you've sneaked off for a sandwich, here are the main transfer lines we're hearing at Sky Sports News this lunchtime... . •Manchester United are providing stern competition for Barcelona in the race to sign Arsenal's Thomas Vermaelen; we understand United will happily match - or beat - that £10m offer so it's now likely to come down to the player's preference... •Swansea defender Chico Flores is about to complete a £4-5m move to Qatari side Leckwiya - where former boss Michael Laudrup is manager.
