Probably because it says "In the Premierleague" <whistle>

From what I remember, and correct me if I'm wrong because I may well be totally wrong here.... the game last night wasn't part of the Premiership and didn't earn 3 points <ok>

Your correct Biscan, but Brenda hardly caused any worries last night, and that defence of yours is likely to cause major problems. even Southampton could penetrate with the few players you havn't bought off them

You need a mind to play games with it. I think Van Gaal has come up against many managers who would eat Brenda for breakfast and beat them at a canter. I don`t really expect any reply to this, if games are to be played Van Gaal will save it for top managers like Mourinho or Wenger.

I mean what do you expect, LVG is new to the premiership, and has managed Holland, Ajax, Barcelona and Bayern Munich, all of which are minnows. But there again he did win championships with them

Now lets compare Brenda's CV. Prepare yourselves, this is a list of household names compared to LVG. Brenda has managed the mighty Brentford, Reading, Swansea and Liverpool. I can only assume that LVG has probably never heard of, and no disrespect to Brentford, and Reading.

He only knows about Swansea because we play them first game of the season.

Mind games Brenda? lol, your not even a patch on Rafa, and SAF reduced him to a crumbling wreck with all his "fackts" written on a scrap of paoer.

9. Read the article matth provided again and then look at those teams again <doh>

As for Brod's CV, he has expereince of the English league which is what he's talking about in that article. Its also something LVG has zero experience in.

Rodgers said,

""I'm obviously an admirer of his work and his career. He's a very experienced manager and a very good manager who has worked at some big clubs."When you come through as a coach you look at the guys who have a vision and a philosophy, and he was obviously one of those guys."

As for the rest of it, hardly mind games, last season the reigning champions took some big hidings off teams below them in the league that contributed to them finishing mid table.

Why is Rodgers projecting other people's failures on Van Gaal? Especially players! Why is he using players' performance to judge a manager? What about Manuel Pellegrini, Arsene Wenger, Jose Mourinho and Carlos Ancelotti? These are all managers who won the Premier League on their first try. Why on earth is he talking about foreign players?

I don't even know where to begin here. First, Rodgers is giving Val Gaal what is supposed to be friendly advice. Really? then he brings up David Moyes which takes us to the next quote to reveal his ultimate fear is really for himself.

So what Rodgers is really doing here is saying that Moyes should have been given several more years of to fail. Is this guy for real? How can a team of champions end up in worst place since premier league began with unwanted several records made along the way.

I guess Rodgers would simply prefer Moyes to see out his contract as that would have given his Liverpool team greater chance of finishing above United from what would have been another clueless season with Moyes in charge.

Lastly:
Rodgers is now setting his team's expectations very low. How can you go from almost winning the league to accepting 4th place as an accomplishment? He is in no position to be advising another team's manager.

“We’re still a work in progress really. We made great strides last year and the expectancy for us is to improve again. Our task is to make sure we’re in the Champions League again next year. Our first target is fourth and then we’ll look to push on from there.”

Sounds like Rodgers has given up the title already. Last season was a fluke playing part-time. No Suarez too

Rodgers is 41, he's hardly going to have won loads of major trophies at that age - for a 41 year old he's an exceptional manager.

I wonder what Van Gaal had won at 41? I don't know, and can't be arsed to look. But Van Gaal is old enough to be Rodgers Dad. So all comparisons at this point are pretty pointless.

All I can say is Rodgers is a modern manager, his style is superb and set the PL on fire last season. Yes he was a bit naive at times, but we were by far the most exciting team to watch - Modern football is the way forward, and Rodgers is a fine example of how to employ this <ok>
