The thing I find most disappointing about the Reina situation is Pepe himself. I always thought playing football meant the world to him and never imagined he'd opt for money over playing. By signing for Bayern that is exactly what he is doing because there is no way he'll get in the side ahead of Neuer. His options of going elsewhere have been cut short by his wage demands. Why not ask for less money in return for actually playing football? Its not like he is stuck for cash is it?
Terrible choice by Reina. Barring injuries he'll never play. Good deal for Bayern. Getting a very good keeper (by normal standards of back ups) for a small fee and those wages are not a problem for them. Covered in the nightmare situation of losing Neuer to a long term injury. Not many teams have that luxury, Real and Chelsea (IF they can persuade Cech to stay). Most teams have to rely on the likes of Jones!!
The problem with Reina is he was on massive wages and unwilling to budge. We were offering him for less than £4m but he wanted his wages matched or to receive all of the transfer fee. He wrote a ****ty letter then fought for every penny without giving a **** for playing football. He was good for us when he was playing but once he stopped he was a cock.

Spent years stuck behind a couple of outstanding keepers. Casillas's fall from favour at Real and Valdez's injury would have given him a chance to fight for the starting spot. This move has completely ****ed that now and it will Lopez or De-Gea if they choose to move on from the older guys.
