Good article don't know why I wrote that sorry, I think it was because I was thinking you gave up the match threads when you stepped down from moderating last time. My head is pickled at the moment
ah right was wondering why you said moderating. Was thinking that I've missed something that someone has done!
Expecting us to be strong going forward and better in midfield this season. However I still have worries about the defence. Punt a long ball down the middle and we struggle. Pretty much the typical L1 tactic so we will have to hope SC has come up with a game plan to deal with that. COYR.
Sheffield United could be without midfielder James Wallace, who is struggling with a groin injury. Michael Higdon is doubtful as he lacks match fitness but other summer recruits Chris Basham, Andy Butler, Jamal Campbell-Ryce, Ben Davies, Harrison McGahey and Marc McNulty should play. Bristol City have six new first-team players to chose from. But they could be without defender Karleigh Osborne, who suffered a a serious leg gash during pre-season. Sheffield United boss Nigel Clough told BBC Radio Sheffield: "We've done well for spells in games in pre-season but not as long as we'd like. We're hopeful it will come. "I think they've recruited very well and they ended last season really well. "They've gone under the radar a little bit and I think they deserve the favourites tag as much as anyone else in this division." Bristol City manager Steve Cotterill told BBC Radio Bristol: "I certainly think we've got more goalscorers in our team this year. "We couldn't just rely on goals from Sam Baldock and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas. It wasn't enough. "When you look at the ages of the players we've signed, we're hopefully tapping into their potential to make us a stronger club."
We really do have a abysmal record against Nigel Cloughs teams..and at Bramall Lane... The match v SHeff U then is one of the key games where we can measure how much we have improved since last seasons 2 dismal performances... All being well though at 12.16 Bristol City should be top of league 1--but should we lose by 2.0 we will be 24th...
