Big clubs can pick off all the talent from smaller clubs for peanuts, put them in an inflated Academy, and spit the majority out in 2/3 years when they haven't made it. You would hope most would be better advised and get them to learn their education in the lower leagues, where they have a better chance of getting first team football... but the £££'s seem to blind them to this Then again, I doubt we would complain too much if we pick off young talent from smaller teams than us... the one thing I would say with the EPPP compensation rules though is that they should probably put more emphasis on future clauses, so bonus payments on such things as 1st first-team appearance, 1st International, sell-on % etc...
