I remember a sound film where Daniel craig played a sergeant in the trenches, and just before they went over the top Danny Dyer (I think) drank all the company's rum. Great, but bleak film.

I'm not the first nor will I be the last to call Haig a criminal. He was a buffoon, who notably described the machine gun as a "much over rated weapon". Not a surprise that you're defending a belligerent, "2nd rate" fool like Haig though, lol.
