So far we've spent a net £14m (assuming the widely reported figure of net £60m was correct, would leave us with £46m to spend still!!) Add Moreno for the reported £16 makes a net spend of £30m with £30m in the bank Sell Agger, Assaidi, Borini for approx £30m.....we're back to £60m. Buy Bony/Benteke for £15m Buy Shaqiri for £25m Buy masch for £10m (am obsessed!) Keep £10m for Howard Webb Sorted
If we get Benteke, we should have signed Lukaku too #belgiumfrontthree Benteke can play across the line too. Not keen on spending £20m+ on him mind, certainly not my first choice. Why not just go back in for Remy? I'd rather gamble on his fitness than sign (and effectively gamble) on the other expensive players!
What injury is he nursing at the moment? If it is ligament damage we should stay well away. Already have history of wasted potential through ligament damage: Lucas, Kelly, etc
So in buying Benteke we're backing-up our injury-prone striker with...an injury prone striker. Who's currently long-term injured. I'd possibly prefer Bony to Benteke. Benteke's got talent, but he is injury prone and his form fluctuates significantly - I think he's had a couple of spells now where he hasn't scored for quite a while.
You're wright it wouldn't, I think he'd cost a lot of money but he's also injured a lot so they might go against him. But like we've both said, it won't happen.
Well reading up on Benteke it was an achillies injury and not expected back to October. But a couple days ago Lambert said he is ahead of schedule but wont make the start of the season.
I really don't rate him at all, seen a few games where he puts in 20-30 crosses in that are all absolutely ****. Is capable of something brilliant every now and again but at 31 and prob £150k a week - no thanks
Can't see that happening. He is getting on a bit now. That is a damn lie. He is very consistent. Consistently s**te.
