As you're not Stoke aren't you concerned that now you're a PL club he's pretty pointless as a player for you? You're not allowed proper tackles anymore, Alex Bruce is the one non-Stoke player to get away with making them last season, and that was because he kept taking out people like Suarez and Cleverley rather than less ****ish ones.
If you lads have lost Charlie's sister, Patches, she's been seen on our board quite a bit lately ... by all means pop by and collect her
Alot of the national media have the Foxes going down along with Burnley(shock horror) . Whilst the Foxes have a decent midfield they look poor at the back and up front,, at the moment.
Don't disagree with this, but what made me dislike NP was that last (?) interview he did with Burnise, when he was asked was he going to Leicester and he didnt answer, and then Burnsie said something like 'come on Nigel, then fans want to know as they thihnk you are doing a good job' and he just scoffed. Next day he went. I am sure he did a load of good stuff like balancing the books and building a stable and affordable team, but the arrogance of the man was what did it for me. He would have kept a lot more respect if he had been honest and not so far up his own rigid backside.
I've a lot of history with Leicester fans, I used to manage a pub near the Walkers/KP for a couple of years and I had to put up with them for ages. Some were quite rational, but a large proportion of them had ideas that were way above their station. I had a running bet behind the bar that we'd finish above them and about 40 locals/regulars took the bet. I never made a fuss or bragged, not even when we got promoted. I promptly collected my many drinks, however the derision from their fans was almost unbearable. Murmurs of "oh they didn't deserve it" and "we're better suited to the top league". The arrogance was almost too much to bear, especially as I'd deliberately tried to keep a modicum of humilty throughout that season. Leicester rightly won the league last season; I don't think anybody could deny that they didn't deserve promotion and that they've steadily been building over the last couple of seasons. But I've had the same people in contact again, claiming they'll finish top half, Europe, whatever. It's based on nothing at all and it's what makes my feelings for Leicester so aggrevated. There'll be a few lessons for the foxes this season, just like we had from Southampton and Newcastle but I actually think they'll stay up if they can keep the core of their squad. I rate their midfield, but you can guarantee there'll already be a few eyes watching a CM pairing of two young English players. If they go in January, replacements might be hard to come by. I think it'll be Burnley, Palace and Sunderland that drop this season; people talk about Pulis never getting relegated, but it hardly makes them invincible, who's to say it won't happen this season? Sunderland don't look any great shakes and Burnley will get their usual 6 points off us, but unless they really start strengthening, I can't see them staying up.
My worries for us are purely left back and maybe centre half. If Liam Moore makes the step up then we will be fine if not were struggling for a bit of pace their Plus Konchesky is a liability at times in the Championship. But like Moore if Schlupp can adjust we will be fine Other then that our first 11 will have no problems holding their own. Cover for Drinkwater will be our biggest problem if anything happens to him
Tickles ... we didn't lack for goals last season and yet you think we look weak up front? ... yes I know it's a step up but the equation remoanins simple ... 'ball-past keeper-into net' ... we have a lot of pace in the side and I think this will trouble sides and that we still create more than out fair share of chances - remains to be seen whether we can convert them of course - but a goalscorer is a goalscorer ... can Vardy do what both Ian Wright and Kevin Phillips did previously? ... taking non-league goal scoring prowess to the top level ... who knows ... but I'm not ruling it out yet ... Nugent has pleasantly surprised me - he obviously has a burning desire to prove people wrong ... gain I think this is a positive ... and Ulloa? ... the guy looks a handfull ... I think Prem defenders are going to hate playing against him ... I think we'll bring in another forward but I'm quite happy with what we have ...
Well perhaps, but it's all I've had to go on and I've met literally hundreds if not thousands of Leicester fans and I can tell you that about 80% of them were just as I described. That's not to say there aren't fans of any club like that, nor will all Leicester fans be like that, but they're just the ones I've encountered during my tenure in Leicester and I'm sorry to say that they didn't strike me as level minded or realistic.
Leicester city fans need to add in the **** refs factor . Anyone from a top club falling over gets a free kick or a penalty. However players in the top teams can hack your players down and it will be unseen by the ref or linesmen.
Not as many as have you guys going down. It will be interesting to see what happens before both clubs lock horns on 28th december @ the KC.
Nope, every man and his wife was writing you off last season, which wasn't overly surprising tbh. I've read more than a few netural articles that think we have what it takes to survive. Whether we will or not... Only time will tell!
I don't know how you got that Tickles, I don't remember one single media outlet predicting survival for us whatsoever.
