LOL hopefully! As someone mentioned earlier Moyes won a trophy early and then it all went a bit pear shaped. IMHO we are strong up front, midfield has been weak for a few years and losing Vidic was a big blow.
I actually don't see losing Vidic as a blow to us. We've been papering over the cracks for a few years now but a fading Rio, Vidic that has been **** since his injury and Evra who was at times at defensive liability. At least these players leaving has forced us to at least look at replacing
Guess I was thinking about Vidic being our captain and most experienced defender. Would be a bit nervous going into the season with Jones, Evans and Smalling. If we replace with like for like - or better no problem Fellaini had a poor season (as did most of the team), but as someone else mentioned in another thread he was excellent at Everton and had a good world cup. If LVG can get the same improvement in him we've seen in Ashley Young could he bolster midfield?
He didn't, he was **** in more or less every game. I can see him leaving but would be happy for him to be given one more season. Vidic needed to leave, as did Rio, and now we're gone the younger players can step up. Definitely need at least Vermaelen to go with them though and obviously Hummels would be a bonus should we somehow get him. I'd be more than happy to see an Evans/Jones partnership if we had a four man defence though.
Now all the hype is slowing down, what an over inflated name for the competition. No one but the yanks could come up with something as crazy as that. Except maybe the world series when only american teams play in it.
Nah we're all around, I dont think that anyone was crying into their cornflakes although its always nice to beat you, even in these circumstances. Just some dont come on here (Utd board) as much as me Im not too worried, nowhere near our fist ream. We need another striker that much is obvious
Yeah, would have been nice to get the win and we would've gloated if we had, fair play to United and well done.
