If its Jay Rodriguez Saints really are doomed. I do really like Rodriguez. I'd have welcomed him as a solid deputy had Suarez stuck around.
I got shot down a by a few towards the end of last year when I said Jay is a good option to have.. If we get rid of Don Fabio, we'll only have 3 strikers (assuming it is Jay or Boney'M we sign), if he wants 4 strikers, looks like Sterling may have to make that move up top?
Manquillo v Almeria. He looks quick, athletic and his passing is decent. But his technique needs refining and he seems a bit to attacking at times. #youngSpanishJohnson
I'd like us to kep Borini now. Atleast for a year. After that we take a good look at how he's performed, as well as the other strikers, and Origi. One would then most likely have to leave, at least on loan. Lamberts will only have a year of contract left at this point.
So I have looked on the ever reliable Twitter and can tell you that.... For a fee of around £15m.... It is again us v Tottenham in the race to sign.... Wilfreid Bony. Who apparently turned down Newcastle due to a lack of ambition from them.
Meh. Nothing to write home about. Plus Almeria are relegation fodder. As long as he asks "what would Johnson do" - and then does the opposite, he should be fine.
Be grateful I didnt share the v Levante video. He was dull and pedestrian all game. He offered little more than the odd pass sideways.
It has to be Bony, surely....... J-Rod is still injured. Exactly not what we need. Mind you, your mate did also say that the Moreno deal was as dead as a dodo didn't he?
I think Bony looks really good here. Two goals and a few close efforts. A lot of good little pass and move players. Works the ball decently. I think he could do well in a nice passing attacking with players like Coutinho, Lallana, Allen and Sterling. He does well here to. He moves about a lot more than I though. When he drops deep and does those little flicks and passes I think he looks really decent and with better players making the runs ahead of him (Sturridge, Sterling, Markovic, Lallana, Henderson) that could be deadly. He'll give us more physical presence to. I can see the tactics behind signing Bony and like the idea.
If Bony had scored the number of goals he did last year in Spain, Germany or Italy, we wouldn't question the fee... He's already proven, in a team that like to Play football, and lets be honest, Swansea play some of the nicest football in the league, he can still bang them in, we create just as many, if not more chances than the Swans... No brainer if you ask me, can finish, quick, good in air, decent touch, young...
