Does anyone else here think it'll be a complete whitewash? We will be told exactly what they want us to know and not a thing more. Embarrasing questions will be left unanswered and we will be told "sorry I'm unable to answer that at this time" and we will be none the wiser.

Am I cynical? Yes but events over the past year or so have made me that way, plus I have to have a moan here because it's almost happy hour in the Pilgrimage.

Is anyone from these boards going?

I've just posted a little moan on the pilgrimage bar site because it was pre 7pm and had to get it in quick. Also said I can't go due to late finish visiting nursing home and asked if anyone who was could post a little info after the event.

You being cynical Mrs Reid???? Nope just expecting it to be a non event which in my view it probably will be. We have all become a little cynical lately (some more than others). Supporters are ALWAYS treated this way so why should tonight be any different. Politicians always manage to answer a direct question without actually saying anything so suspect these answers will be about the same from our glorious current leaders. I wonder what would happen if anyone actually raised an objection to what is happening as the reason for this meeting was I gather to here supporters concerns and wishes. Laugh, I nearly bust a rib. As if what we want is ever likely to be taken seriously.

superswan99, there is no way ANYONE and I do mean ANYONE can ruin us more than we are already. We have no scope for further ruining trust me. We are about as ruined as any ruin can possibly be. Anytime now the Time Team will turn up to uncover our ruin and specualte what event took place to cause such havoc.

Thanks for the good wishes though.

Someone who's there is posting updates on Twitter. I'll paste a few on here... Chronological order :emoticon-0103-cool:

PR 'Club was bust but we can help save it. Structure in place is the only one that saves it'

PR 'Met with Peter Reid five times recently to discuss new players - probably need 12 players'

BG 'Deal to buy Argyle is not dependent on planning'

PR 'I want to pay staff and players but PB's offer doesn't meet liabilities'

PR 'I give you my personal guarantee that, while I am in control of the club, none of the previous directors will be involved'

PR 'I am not, nor was I, part of James Brent's bid, but did agree, when asked, to assist him'

PR 'From day PB concludes deal, club is only going to survive on it's income - season-ticket income is high percentage

BG 'PBs not seeking to use Green Taverners' donations to staff as part of future wages settlement

PR 'I am not going to do this if there is going to be pressure from landlords. I won't tolerate it'

PR 'I'd like David Jones to stay on as Finance Director and would establish board-fans partnership'

BG 'As soon as we can get Sale and Purchase Agreement signed, we can sell season-tickets. Date in my mind for green light is July 4'

Thanks Jiggle. The statement that worries me the most is the one that says the club must survive on it's income only, closely followed by the one that says the PB won't pay staff.

He didn't actually say they won't pay staff by the look of it although that probably could be the outcome. I think however we have known for some time that we were going to have to survive on income alone.

    ............

BG 'I have been paid a proportion of my fee'

BG 'Will tell PBs that fans want transparency'

BG 'I don't know who is behind bid - I deal with the representative, Kevin Heaney'

BG 'Stadium can only be used for professional football'

PR 'What's in it for Ridsdale? My objective is to save this football club. I will not hold club to hostage at any stage in future'

That's it. Argyle Trust meeting ends. Applause for Peter Ridsdale, Romain, all speakers ...................

Some interesting points. Think PB is preferred bidder Joe.

    ......................................................................................................................................................................

This one raises a few points. There's a lot of disillusioned greens out there. The drop off in season tickets next season could be telling.

"The statement that worries me the most is the one that says the club must survive on it's income only".

Can someone tell me what's wrong with that on any planet apart for Planet Football?

Would we say that we will manage our own lives by routinely spending more than we earn on the assumption that someone else will periodically make up any the overdraft we end up with? I think not.

Does any business expect that it can avoid giving a return on any money it borrows and dodge paying it back out of its own income? I think not.

We have to get real. As fans we will end up with the football club we deserve and quite right too.

Hmmmm so a lot of nothing then by the sound of it, hardly suprising if deal actually is this close to signing could hardly see the PB doing a u-turn on revealing their identities, Heaney keeps cropping up more and more though.

Oh and watch this space because we should be sold by July 4th ..... the only thing we were told tonight that I believed and that was from Vivian Pengelly was that only a professional footy team can play at home park ..... whether its Plymouth Argyle or Truro FC remains to be seen ................ I am soooo angry .... neither one answered any of the questions asked only gave a load of waffle ! Oh and the administrator was soooo pleased we'd ousted Heaney .... yeah right

'PR 'I want to pay staff and players but PB's offer doesn't meet liabilities'

I thought the right of exclusivity was suppose to cover costs. Paying people their wages in my book is 'costs!'

Agree Mouldy but apparently at Home Park they are reading from a totally different book. Not our finest hour by a long way......

No it won't mouldy no more than any other club who has gone through this. We still seem to believe that we are somehow an exception to the normal Administration process but I would guess this is far from true. Every club who has ever shot through on paying their bills should be hanging heads in shame as it is simply not right for anyone. But the other clubs are still there and their fans have put it to one side and now just carried on. We will no doubt do the same in time. I said previously that the answers would probably be Politician answers where a lot of words are used but nobody is ever any the wiser afterwards. People like this are well practiced in not saying anything whilst wasting loads of air doing it. I also said that I hope, as we now will have to live within the gate receipts mostly, that there isn''t some sort of protest and people stay away using this as an excuse. Now is the time to support through the turnstiles not kill the club because the HMRC and creditors didn't get it.
