OMG - I'm still trying to get my head around who is actually in the squad. Not sure I'd agree completely with that line-up.
Close, but not for me. Before I put Taarabt in such a pivotal role, I'd need to see something from him - anything - that shows he's up to the job both physically and mentally. Remy I know can do the job he's being asked to do here - and I hope he would put 110% in, irrespective of what he feels about his moves breaking down. With Taarabt, I have seen and heard nothing that shows he could, or would, do that job for us at the moment. For me, I'd either put Hoilett in that role, push Barton forward and play Henry alongside Faurlin, or pull Remy back into the hole and play either Hoilett or OBZ alongside Charlie.
I would say there is a 99.9% chance the line-up will be different from that. Even if Adel stays, I dont believe he will be fit enough to start, same with Remy. The way Junior is playing, he has to be in the starting 11
There are still a few question marks over Adel and Loic, and we may make some more acquisitions. However, assuming that they will be with us and available, then I would only make one change. I personally would start Hoillet in the hole and potentially put Adel on only as a late sub. I do not think that he is currently match fit and believe he would need to earn his place. I am however very pleased that Faurlin seems to be playing well. With two weeks to go it, it is fun to speculate, but it is only speculation.
Can we please establish that Remy never has nor does he play in the hole? He plays as a CF or can do a job wide right in a 4-3-3, that's it.
I would doubt Remy will be fit to start. Adel will be ready without doubt if selected and if he is still here.
This is the side that stared Saturday Green Caulker, Dunne, Ned Simpson, Faurlin, Barton, Hoilett, Traore Austin, Zamora I can only really see 3 changes to that side for the Hull game, Ferdinand (if fit) for Dunne, New Chilean lad (if fit) for Simpson and Remy, (if fit) for Zamora.....
Remy isnt fit enough to start, I'd play Mutch in place OBZ, with Mutch playing a little deeper and interchanging with Junior.
So we're kind of looking at 3-5-1-1, yep that could work although Charlie looked less than pleased when playing the lone striker role after OBZ was replaced......
No way on this Earth is Hoilett not starting against Hull, 3 or 4 goals in pre-season so far and looking up for it.
