How many times does a new centre forward sign in the days before a game and come up with a goal or 2!

I remember malcolm macdonald signing for arsenal, made his debut on opening day of season at highbury against little all bristol city in city's 1st game in the old 1st division for 65 years...city won 1-0 and I had the pleasure of being there.

I was at Ashton Gate (yes I am that old) for the first game for Bobby Gould and before the start he was having the usual photo shots and playing to the crowd and if my memory serves me correctly proceeded to get sent off. Nice one Booby!

Higdon is a bruising bullying centre forward from Scouseland. He has played in England, Scotland and Holland.
So don't expect to see any pretty football from the Blades. Saturday will be a survival of the fittest and strongest!

I was at that game Inver
BG showed a lot of street cunning, but the rest of our forward line were continually caught offside. Then Gould was put through for a run on goal, which was when we realised he had no pace.

He did inject some top level experience for such as Spiring, and paved the way for the emergence of Ritchie and the brilliant youngsters we had in-coming at the time (as did Ernie Hunt a short time later).
