Teams spend a long time, not to mention a little money, looking for a striker who looks full of goals and able to contribute in other parts of the game. Kane has not put a foot wrong since Sherwood gave him game time. I would have trouble keeping Kane out of the starting lineup. I would do it, but I would have trouble doing it.
Kane has looked impressive since the tail end of last season. Im quite happy with Adebayor, Soldaldo and Kane as our strike force going into the season. The question mark remains over Soldado, if he can show his Valencia form we will be absolutely fine. If by christmas he is still struggling we could then offload him and bring someone else in.
I'd go with this I think. Holtby Bentaleb ? Kane Eriksen --Ade Possibly with Kane and Eriksen interchanging. Soldado, Dembele and Sandro on the bench.
Seems a £15m bid may have been accepted for Musacchio http://www.thetottenhamway.com/2014/08/01/spurs-e19m-deal-mateo-musacchio-villareal/ (bucket of salt as usual)
"The question mark remains over Soldado" Soldado needs to get going, not only for the cause but also to put pressure on Adebayor to consistently raise his game too this season.
Now all we need to do is sign Lenny Nangis, Giuseppe Prestia, Mateo Kovacic, Sime Vrsaljko, Carlos Fierro and Inigo Martinez to have pretty much every player I signed for Spurs on Football Manager...
Their coach seems to accept that Musacchio is a done deal.... http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2892...ottenham-admits-villarreal-coach?ICID=HP_HN_1
£45M for Bony and Schneiderlin according to the Mirror http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-plot-45m-transfer-splurge-3953835 Not sure that sort of money would be easily spent by Levy would it?
It's a shame that Croatia can't play Modric, Kovacic and Halilovic in the same team. That would be something to watch.
Even if they shoehorned the three of them in a totally unbalanced team for a one-off friendly and just told them to go and play...that would be a game worth watching.
The idea is that Poch is determined to get a DM who can pass it forward quickly. The thing is hat Capoue isn't bad, and Holtby, though I've questioned him in a deep lying position, has gotten the ball forward quickly in PS and deserves a spot on the team at the moment. Bony seems a good idea at a reasonable price, except it may push Kane down the pecking order when he he has made a very good case for playing time. I think Poch is thinking about: Lloris Davies Musachio (Kaboul if Musachio isn't coming) Vertonghen Walker (Naughton if Walker isn't ready) Capoue Holtby Lamela Eriksen Lennon Ade
Tottenham are lining up 33-year-old Cameroon forward Samuel Eto'o, who is a free agent after leaving Chelsea. Tuttosport (in Italian) No. Just no.
We don't know what he thinks about Dembele, Sandro or Paulinho yet. I shall report back from the Lane next Saturday as to his intentions. #excited
