Subtle point scoring trick. Like it! I only said we need your scouting service. As everyone here is so happy to say: man up!
Schneiderlin, Wanyama, Cork, JWP, Davis, Reed, Gaston - we don't need anyone in the midfield, it's strong as it is. And if we're looking to bring a midfielder, than he should be better than the ones we have. Is Rodwell better than some of our players? Maybe, but I don't think he's better than Schneiderlin or Wanyama, maybe he could be better than Cork. And I think we should count on JWP and Reed for the future.
I wouldn't mind Rodwell, I really liked him for Everton. I'm not sure these last few years have done him much good though.
You said I'm full of myself, and on Friday I believe I was so far up my own arse. Both were reactions to me offering my on-topic opinions. I'm sure in your head that's just you offering a balanced opinion though. You're right that this is going nowhere and just filling the thread with spam, so I'll just stick to reporting you instead. Sod off, pal. I think he's good, but we certainly don't need a holding mid.
Yeah, I think these would come. We should look to find quality players from leagues like portugese, scotish and dutch, they're cheap, wouldn't cost much in transfer fees and would want to come to EPL, because if they prove themselves here it could be a great stepping stone for them. I too like these players far more then the ones earlier mentioned and would be concerned if we end up solely with that group of players.
Nah I was told we were looking to get around 8 players in(before Osvaldo left): In: Pelle, Tadic Loans in: Bertrand, Schelotto and Taider More than Likely: Forster, Dijk I think will happen: Ings So we have one and probably more we don't know yet, yes it has taken longer then I thought it would. But I won't bitch or moan(too much) before I see how our squad is like when the window closes.
Rojo might be a bit of a push. I know his club isn't huge, but he's done himself a lot of favours recently and is a first team player for Argentina. I'd have been more confident of getting someone of his reputation last summer, but now I'm not sure.
I really like Cork but think he could well be an upgrade if his early form was realized. However he hasn't played much footy over the past few seasons.
If we signed all those I'd be satisfied with most positions, but still a bit worried about depth in attacking midfield/wings. Surely Wanyama is the Cork upgrade.
Yeah, Rojo's the only one who might be a stretch there, as he seems to be garnering interest (if not firm offers) from teams above our station.
While I like more players there than I dislike, we'd still be desperately short of creativity...and if Ings isn't inbound, likely short of goalscoring as well.
Fine. Disagree about the sequence (you make it sound like I just blurted those out first and you are a poor weak victim :'( )but I certainly do think those things. Have a good week! I also agree that Rodwell could be good.
Only way Ings won't happen is if Burnley are willing to take him leaving on a free. I can't see that myself, last I heard they want 11m and were trying to play hard ball.
They might do... It's possible that if they think Ings is the only way they'll stay up (which considering their other forwards is fair enough) then they might be willing to stick to a high value.
He wouldn't be leaving on a free, though. He's under 24, and consequently they'll be entitled to a compensation fee. Not as large as they'd receive in transfer, but it provides some leverage.
Teamtalk think we're going to get both Rojo and Hernandez. That would be a statement and a half: http://www.teamtalk.com/arsenal/gallery/9406278/-?
