So if they want out, why not just disband? Why the need to merge if they have had enough?

I can't see you keeping their current name, and you obviously won't use CTWD, it'll be a new name presumably?

    What's the logic/reasoning behind merging?

The Tigers Co-op want to close and CTWD want to become a supporters trust, it's the obvious thing to do(Tigers Co-op were also founder members of CTWD).

The name is not changing, the supporters trust will be called City Till We Die.

Trying to Bully people into agreeing with opinions, and how Ive now admitted, that means some individuals rather than the group as a whole.

I think he's talking about CTWD supporters, rather than CTWD as an organisation.

Though quite why he'd stop supporting CTWD if he thinks the organisation didn't do anything wrong, is a little baffling.

Many of the problems over the last three years have been exacerbated because of the lack of dialogue between owners and fans. The Allams are right to want to run a business their way, especially when so much money is at stake, but they could easily have worked around many of those problems if there was infrastructure to consult and discuss with their customers. At present, everything on the non playing side is treated with suspicion and derision, and in many cases is merited. Similarly, anything criticised on here is seen as anti Allam and in many cases is not merited.
The owners don't have to have personal meetings with members of a supporters trust, but as owners of a football club they should be prepared to listen to genuine concerns and ideas from their customer base.
If the club is to go forward, both on and off the field, both sides must be open and conciliatory.

    Just my opinion

The supporters trust should have a new name.

Right or wrong the Name CTWD will stop people joining imo

I think the biggest hurdle for CTWD to over come when forming a trust, is to persuade people that they are not just a protest group. On another tact, I get the feeling from some posters they are inferring that Not606 Hull City AFC site is set up to be against the name change. Majority of posters where active on this forum long before this nonsense started, so there opinion are purely what they personally feel, which from what I see is that most are against the name change.

I can run a bath. I've even been known to turn the taps off before the water gets to the top. I've never met you at a match, knowingly, so I'm safe there. Also don't worry too much about any influence I may have as I've stepped down.

There are two reasons for the merger. Firstly it gave the existing members of the Co-op the right to say no. Something they wouldn't have if they were taken over by a group of new members. Secondly it allows them to decide how active they want to be in the new trust. I'm sure some will use it as an opportunity to step back, but equally some may get more actively involved.

The votes of both organisations have been taken, the decisions made and once all the exciting bits, like the draft constitution, have been agreed, it will announced to the Tiger nation and the world.

In a few months the landscape of Hull City supporter representation will be transformed. Exciting isn't it?

Stop supporting because ofsome supporters, rather than actually going against it

May I ask why you are keeping the CTWD name? Is there a rational behind that?

It was put to a vote at the FGM and all who attended wanted to keep the name, mainly because of the reputation that had been built in that name already(a reputation that unfortunately is far more highly regarded outside Hull, than it is in it).

If the tigers co op is closing how is it a merger between them and CTWD

It's just CTWD turning into a supporters trust and even keeping the same name .

Thousands of supporters would not join CTWD so why will those none joiners join now if it's still CTWD

    Confused

I think CTWD is highly regarded in Hull as well. This board isn't Hull. I think at times its worth looking back and remembering all the support, from all over the city, our campaign received.

Indeed, I wasn't suggesting that CTWD wasn't highly regarded locally, just that there are detractors here, whereas elsewhere, we are held up as the benchmark for how a football campaign should be run.

    I think he's talking ****.

There has been no bullying what-so-ever.

There's been a lot of whinging from cry baby ****s who are more desperate for the Premier League than they are Hull City.

There's been deliberate baiting by the small pro name change lobby in a flaccid attempt to derail CTWD's campaign.

There's a small bunch of jizz heads who have questioned the integrity of the CTWD founders.

There has not been a single coherent argument that substantiates AA's claim that changing the name will increase revenue.

There's a small group of ******ed tits who still fail to realise & comprehend that all our current success has been achieved as Hull City AFC.

There's a small group of idiots who fail to understand the concept of an internet forum.

There's a small group of knobs who will accept the real life lies & bullying tactics thrown at them by our owner yet cry like tarts at non existent lies & bullying on an anonymous internet forum.

There's a few bell ends who whinge when CTWD threads are posted (although they struggle to stop themselves commenting on them) yet don't have a problem when the board is awash with threads of pro AA brown tonguing & anti CTWD bullshit.

There is a simple solution, if you don't want CTWD to become a supporters trust you can either:-

Join CTWD & vote against proposals you don't agree with.

    Or

Set up your own group of like minded individuals & propose a different way forward.

Either would be a better option than logging on here everyday & whinging about those who were bothered enough to organise themselves & in doing so made a positive difference to the future of the club.
