I've just bought my first ever car that has a CD player, now whenever I'm driving and a traffic report comes on the CD player switches to the radio. I was totally flabbergasted when it first happened, I had no idea this technology existed, I've found the button to turn it off now! Is there any other weird technologies I should be aware off on cars less than 10 years old?
Also, the windows don't go down in some of them because they didn't bother putting the handles on to wind them down. A money saving exercise no doubt.
ran into that already, there is a button to stop passengers opening windows. I miss the role down windows as the electric ones are impossible to adjust to just how much to want them down.
Some of them have the ability for your phone call to come out of the speakers in the car ... its the devils work or that of a woman imo. Be careful answering calls on this device when the bird is in the car with you.
My car has an 'AUX' port where I can plug in my Walkman and play my Terence Trent D'arby cassettes which is convenient and mind-boggling at the same time. Where will these technological advance end?
My new car has a Air Con, selling cars fitted with this useless feature in Scotland is the very definition of a Con.
A kind of serious question, as aswell as computers, I know **** all about cars either. Is air-con in cars the reason you don't really see sun roofs anymore?
Sun roofs were phased out because they proved to be particularly troublesome in regards to water ingress. Nowadays though, the panoramic roof is the new "must-have" amongst the driving fraternity so one assumes that the automobile designers have came up with a solution to the water ingress. Reversing is simple ...slot it into gear , accelerate, bump, engine off, get out and go about your business.
