Think he played at Twente with Tadic, Chadli is right footed but favours playing on the left too. Don't really want us to sign anymore makeweights at this stage though.
I was impressed with Chadli in a couple of games I saw of Spurs(perhaps Europa), but also I think he played against us and I don't remember him doing anything. So he fits the inconsistent bracket of winger we're being linked with. Spurs were so scatter gun with their team selections last season that it was difficult for any of their players to get a good run of form going. From this article and Guans comments it looks like Morgan will be off at the end of the window
I'm guessing that he meant that we're hoping to improve the squad as much as possible in an attempt to keep Morgan here. I can't imagine that we'd sell him in this window...it would be credibility suicide. January/next summer is another matter. Just had a thought about the "that money has to cover everything" bit, though. Initially thought that'd mean their wages this season plus associated costs; if it means the totality of their three-to-five year contracts, we have much less to spend.
Less than two weeks until our first game. It would be nice to sign some players in the next day or two so we can embed them in the team in the run up to the friendly this weekend.
Can believe Ron (as a newbie at Southampton) believed we were signing people over the weekend, but struggle to understand how us experienced Southampton stalkers believed it....always days later than you'd ever believe possible. I expect someone has lost the biro again.
I hope we announce the signing of a good CB today. All departed will be replaced then., and we can look to adding depth.
Hmmm it seems a lot like this window's signings by the end of this week will be Pelle, Tadic, Bertrand, Taider and Schelotto, and I have to say that doesn't look very good.
Well he had his moments once every five or six games in the SPL, the rest of the time he was about as useful as a cardboard cutout of himself. Samaras would be a terrible/hilarious signing.
