It is a friendly and I am sure that although LVG wouldn't want t lose he will want to carry on his assessment of the players and his preparation for the premiership. Remember because of this stupid money making PR exercise United is behind City and the cahvs in terms of praparation for the domestic league. Brenda, the RS manager is hyping the thing up. he is going to go all out for a win. The biggest club game in the world. he says. Reallly??? ******ed s**t http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...b-game-in-the-world-says-Brendan-Rodgers.html
He is right in a fashion, the Worlds biggest club v as former great club with no titles in years, but he needs to big it up for Liverpool so they can get better sponsorship
3 players. 2 of them were their best players, and one was a cheap deal that gives us someting different. Maybe overpriced, but we have Man ****ty and Chelsea to blame for inflated prices - due to dodgy mafia oil money. please log in to view this image
The only club in the world that would produce a book to celebrate one of the worst collapses in football history. ******ed is too mild a word...
Don't be too harsh Christiansmith, I bought the book last week Maybe "bought" is the wrong word, I had a winning raffle ticket and that was first prize. 2nd prize was 3 copies
This game will be as important as a league game, with both sides looking to get a huge psychological edge going into the new season.
Is America ready for this? Looking forward to the game having a friendly like this will improve the fitness of both squads as it will be played at a higher tempo than the usual boring friendlies. It always matters when we play each other this should be an interesting game.
Quite high profile friendlies so far. We've played the likes of AC Milan, City, Roma and now yourselves. I suppose it will be good for intensity going into the start of the season, but I just think its a little odd this early in to be playing each other.
We should let Southampton have a kick around at half time... Going to be a very strange match tempo wise, strangely intrigued/excited. Think we'll have a pretty full blooded affair - all it'll take is one big tackle etc. EDIT: Having none of this 'world's biggest club' rubbish - it's neither of our clubs.
Dontcha mean Brenda? http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/329075.html 'Liverpool must win a trophy to be considered a success' Looks like it'll be your first team going pedal to the metal - after all this is your only chance of a trophy all season unless you get some dodgy penalties in the League Cup.
Nice to see United fans have gotten their arrogance back...lol Ive clearly missed something over the summer, because they were useless last season
LVG: "Tomorrow we play 90 minutes with a lot of players because it's the last time we can do that + we have to build it up."
