Not in my experience, and I've seen other teams play there as well as us, and I've spoken to Stoke fans. The noisy thing's a bit of a myth hyped up by that flawed Sky survey.

    Agreed.

Bit like the 'sporting Liverpool' fans myth the media used to peddle when visitors to Anfield were held to ransome to get their cars minded, taxed in Stanley Park etc.

Don't need to,full of obvious . Get your head round why some clubs can get the whole ground rocking, inside and outside or part of,and there stands the issue perhaps ? I stand by my original first post although not here to antagonise. City have a big history of one stand making all the noise, the rest are sheep. The. Kempton was not the biggest stand in football, but every c**t knew each other and that came across in a wall of noise. Far to many today expect success because that's all they have seen for th last 10 years. It's when things go,tits up you need to make the most noise, some of us had that every week to contend with,as you and a few more probably know. Our time has gone maybe, older and wiser perhaps but the fever still, burns inside. Something our next generation of fans will struggle to understand as they sit comfortably watching top flight football with little or no interest in how things use to be,on and off the terraces.

    Forza CITY.

    South Stand was open
The Kempton had a low tin roof
Therefore it was obvious that we would make more noise in Kempton and we did.
Just because something is obvious doesn't mean you shouldn't do it.
I prefer my ideas to simply giving up.

    Who's suggesting giving up?

I've pointed out why I believe it would have been better to alter it in a different way to what we've now got and, accepting that the decision's made, where the current system could be improved.

Unfortunately, a better atmosphere or fans informed opinions doesn't seem to be the sole motivations behind the move.

Was south stand more open than the current North Stand?

Cheers. I've been a few times and it's been worse than a bad day at the KC. I haven't looked recently, but you could always look on their forums, such as Oatcake, that also talk of the poor atmosphere.

    Me give up ? Naaa

Point was its WHO went in the Kempton mate. Back in those days we supported a dire team most seasons, singing to success these days should be so much easier. City fans back then deserved a medal for just turning up. Point is,Take enough of those sorts to the a KC North and your halfway to solving the issue. We have a decent few, some more hard core than others, but it's patchy at best. Unreserved is here to stay from what I hear,it makes things tricky but hardly impossible. After 14 years a home the KC rarely rocks, when it does many still leave early and still complain. Words are easy mate, get enough of the right sort in the right part of the ground and the rest takes care of itself. **** me this issue is as old as Waggy mate, won't be put right overnight granted, but this move to the North for home lads is deffo the last chance saloon from what I can see.

    What about practising penalties?
Steve Bruce is only just coming round to the idea!
