Long scored from a penalty in pre-season.

Meyler and Long are our most composed players when one on one with the goalkeeper.

I never said Bruce should be our first choice penalty taker. I think he's a better choice than some because he is more composed and takes his job seriously so he would work at getting it right.

I dont understand how Steve Bruce can think it's ok to not practice penalties. That is sheer madness.

They did well. Both very positive. Ince may have scored if Long hadn't got in the way.

I would have Meyler ahead of Livermore because Meyler has been very composed one on one.

I would prefer Long before Brady because Brady puts the ball too near the goalkeeper.

Bruce doesn't try to do things that he's not capable of so if he was in a position to take a penalty - say in a penalty shoot out I am confident he would have practiced.

See how I gave explanations and analysis rather than "If you have Bruce anywhere near that list then something is wrong with you" but maybe that's just you not trying to do things you are not capable of!

I think you must have an over reliance on statistics. Statistics don't lie but you have to use them properly. Bruce was fantastic in the cup final and it was only after he went off injured that Arsenal looked more likely to score. Yet in your book he started and we lost so it's a negative for Bruce.

Dave Dewberry should be remembered by all City fans for what he started.

I thought they would have not bothered opening a stand only if they thought the attendance was going to be low. We opened all the stands last season even when we played in FA Cup early rounds. Is it something to do with season tickets/cards?

How did you manage that? My train was nearly three hours. Going during the day there was a restaurant car but going back at night was a lot more basic.

    True.

Many who attended soon after our first Wembley trip couldn't name the Promotion side that graced the twin towers. Shocking level of apathy still exists amongst many who won't change no matter what, hardcore still flogging a dead horse at home, far too many happy to sit and point fingers at many who don't or blame everything other than themselves. Many vocal Fans split over four stands when move from Fer ark happened. Overall situation not helped buy blatant local rag put down over many years who still seem to defuse anything the club achieves or worse still, refuse to proudly wave the flag it's purpose is suppose to represent unless we win something. Club still has some good lads, far to many though who think home games is enough and Goole is long haul.

I know seats have been a problem but if you didn't have allocated seats in the North Stand this season then you could get an atmosphere. The Trencin tickets weren't allocated - not that anybody would have bothered.

Let's put this to bed about anybody saying Alex Bruce should be our penalty taker.

If you say the line of succession is:

    Charles
    William
    George
    Harry
    Andrew

It doesn't mean that if Elizabeth dies now you are saying that Andrew will become King.

Partly right, but same old same old.

Biggest problem is who gets it going (singing )without feeling stupid,or so it seems. Looking from W11 the East has three separate sections that want to get it going but far too many who don't,South stand is no better, forget the rest. Everyone knows the days of unreserved have gone,it's the perfect excuse if you ask me. Far too many wont risk confrontation with jobs-worth for fear of early exit, much easier to blame stewarding or old bill rather than stand as one and dictate. New North situation is what many wanted, whole end should have been given but again prefect excuse for not having a go instead of give two fingers to those who will try and subdue it.

Truth will hurt some but,Vanity risk and lack of togetherness mentality rules at the KC,always has done, always will do.

If there's three groups making less noise each then others wont bother joining in. If the fans were as one they would be louder and attract others.
Just compare music festivals and concert halls to see how they are different and how football used to be like a festival and now it's like a concert hall. Some clubs seem to do ok despite that - Crystal Palace and Stoke - and I still think Stretford End is loud despite all the criticism. But other clubs need help and it's better to make an effort about it than give up. I hate it when people talk about "singing sections" - it makes me feel as bad as thinking about cheerleaders or music after goals.

I hate the plastic Palace version with a passion as do others, and the Stoke thing's a bit of a myth.

The north stand will have several groups competing. They don't mix at away games.

I think the cheerleaders and music "plastic"ness rubs off on the fans singing. I don't like their version but then I think it's more to do with London fans not having a sense of humour and they only seem to have three or four chants/songs.

With Stoke it's not so much the singing/chanting but the fact that most parts of the ground join in.

Sheffield Wednesday used to be impressive in the First Division. The best stand used to shake with the noise.

Hate all you like but that's all we have at home and it costs us at times. Totally different away as we all know. Few get collar felt or pointed out for getting exited, hence better atmosphere, but still, large sections of seated at most as old and new clash. Home advantage totally lost if no tribal mentality,**** you jack I'm ok plays into opponents hands, not good but can be changed, especially with new sections in North now available.

    Savvy ?

Stoke is loud....very loud, but this is helped by the positioning of the ground which enhances the noise generated

It can be loud, but that's not always the case. There are regular comments from their own fans about this.
