Posting them. 60p (so unless they're sending them 2nd class, you're actually saving 2p on a first class stamp). OUTRAGE!!!!!
So if we sell out, you'll agree it was a rip roaring success and genius marketing strategy by the club? Seeing as if we sell out, we couldn't, literally, sell any more.
It's going to be fun on Thursday night - 20k plus with unreserved seating... Glad I'm only going in with one other. If you're going with a big family, might be worth checking see if you can go in on Wednesday with some beach towels.
that'd be brilliant though, a camping night at the kc under the stars (probably ruined by the floodlights) it sorta reminds me of the school bus back in the day, and the unfortunates have to sit at the front next to the teachers
Exactly. Sell out the stadium with minimal marketing. Money saved! The best kind of marketing is Word of Mouth!
The reason behind the unreserved seating is that there was not time for a passholders only period due to the proximity of the game. The reason for the sales by stand with other areas only being opened as tickets sold was a business decision as if insufficient tickets were sold it would not be cost effective to have stewards/concession units open in those stands. Additionally if passholders were given priority for their own seats, that could not apply to the fans in the stands which may not have opened (initially south & still west upper) I'm no fan of Allam but the decisions made were certainly business decisions
just being at the game for the first ever european match will be brilliant, not a bad seat in the house at the kc
I understand the reasons for the unreserved seating and I don't think it will be a major issue, but getting people to queue in the club shop for programme is ridiculous and will hopefully be abandoned ahead of the game and they'll just give everyone one(as they did in Zilina).
Simply have someone inside the turnstiles giving a free programme to everyone with a ticket (just not pay on the days) simple
Its what they do here when they give one away. They just have people who hand them out right after you walk in. And the not selling tickets in the club shop thats pretty normal here. I have never seen that. Some of it probably has to do with ****ing ticketmaster I would think. There are places you can not even buy the ticket at the venue as you have to do it from home.
Its not, its because its cheaper and easier to sell unreserved seats through the club shop than having to use the ticket office (with the added costs associated with the system and staff) to sell people assigned tickets. I think people are fussing over nothing, if your that bothered about sitting in your own seat/with your mates then get there early, if your not prepared to do that then keep quiet and get on with it. Did these people whinge as much when it was a free for all on the terraces?
Don't care,I will be. Most likely the only game I'll get to see this season and the last one I made it to Aaron McLean was MotM...I think. Not sure on that though, was a while back. Only issue is I have to collect and not sure now what day I'll have to turn up at the ticket office to avoid the freebie programme riots.
when city played chelsea in 66/67 we got a half day off school to go to the game. my mate [ steve garnet died aged 26 sadly] and myself were there at b,p. from13:00 until they let us in. we sat on the track on planks. don,t suppose that will ever happen again anywhere in the uk. city lost 1-3, peter osgood stood on me foot taking a throw in.but hells fires what memories eh???????
