The Twitter page has now been switched to @HullCity and the club emails are now from 'Hull City Football Club', hopefully the website will be next.
I'm Born in Hull & being naturalised in Australia , & having lived there for 23 years. I can see the magnitude of the event, tha tAlex has created for / about our club. And it is commendable. I remember as a joe public figure walking past Chloe's bar in Melbourne in 2007 and seeing in to a pub, a 100 or so fans in full voice proper chanting for an 'A' league match for Sydney F.C It was a sight to behold. Imagine ppl witnessing this for Hull City by ppl in another country altogether. Amazing Times. Keep up the good work . U fair Dinkum Aussie Battlers and your love for the Underdog. U.T.T.
Yep, we had about 50-60 supporters in the bar in Sydney. Couldn't believe my eyes walking down George St and seeing guys in City shirts wondering around near the bar. Got inside and they put my flag up, and there were City supporters everywhere. Don't think the Gooners believed it either, and at 2-0 when we were chanting "WHO ARE YA" and "You're getting sacked in the morning" it was an incredible sight. Cheers mate!
For me the amazing part is. Aussies in a public bar wildly behaving and supporting a football match & club that's in England. And also the sheer volume of Aussies/ Hull City fans in carefree abandonment giving a passer/s by an Image to b either fearful or proud of.. **** Hot. In Hull other than Admiral on a match day. U would b hard pressed to have 50/60 fans in one bar.
I noticed the other day, that Brian's Facebook page Hull City AFC International, for City fans across the globe, has almost as many members as we have on here.
I'm not sure how many we have here in Brisbane, i do know there are certainly some others around the area though. If you see a jeep with Hull City stickers on it around the area, the chances are it will be me..... Apparently we are members of the HC Southern Supporters, as my younger brother enrolled me and junior (obviously I use junior very loosely as he is 20).
I was born and bred in Hull and I know at least 5 or 6 city fans now living in Sydney who also grew up in the English Côte D'Azure.... We've all introduced our kids to a team with a tiger on its badge (the kits my son has still have the name on the badge which is a plus) Plenty of late nights ahead over a schooner or two supporting city....
