Two wrongs don't make a right.

And what's all this 63p bollocks? A rather contrived figure one suspects.

It's a silly argument and the people saying get rid of The Royal Family need to do their research before jumping on a bandwagon, because if you do you'll find that getting rid of them would make us worse off.

What a crock of ****e. How the **** do they make us a profit? How much tax do these parasites pay on the estates which belong to them for no other reason than a quirk of fate?

exactly queen victoria USED to live there. but it still attracts visitors, kind of destroys your argument

and do they make us a profit? If they werent there and we lost say a small percentage of tourism would that loss be greater than what we pay them?

A monarchy is an antiquated regime where the Head of State is only in that position because of the family they were born into. There is absolutely no accountability there. It is time for a democratically elected Head of State.

they dont belong to them, thats the point. the crown estates, which belonged to the royal family, was given to the state and all profits made (£200MILLION A YEAR) are put directly in the treasury.
if you want to moan about the royals, at least moan about something proper, like minor royals beatrice and eugenie spending £1500 a day on stylists. i am pro monarchy, but only to an extent, only direct descendants should be HRH's.

What a dick. Again, please show us a proper breakdown of the figures (inc. the costs which aren't included).

Oh, and let's assume it £40m. I would much rather that went to teachers, nurses etc. than a bunch of inbred weirdos.
