I said on the other thread... this is ALL a big dodge by city due to FFP ruling they got. they got their squad reduced for CL and this bascially helps them as they were badly struggling for numbers for CL squad in HG players... lampard gives the prem squad a HG name too... in short he's not needed but to get round FFP fine the city corrupt rule breaking ****s used their "sister" club (which is not allowed in europe) new yourk city to buy a player off the books and loan him to them everyone should see the corrupt dodge for what it is.
It's dodgy and obvious as **** Either it will be punished or big clubs will invest in teams in America
It is abit blatantly obvious isnt it. Think we are going to have a ban on transfers/loans from clubs that are tied in any way
all that is going to happen at the moment i should imagine is this is another loophole that will need to be adjusted by the rules somehow. could we do something similar with roma, aren't they connected to our owners somehow?, probably other clubs who have a link abroad somewhere as well. just be another loophole closed that's all, shouldn't imagine a big fuss will be made of it, unless its a slow news day.
Biggest problem with that story is that Hummels is the one the best CB's in the world at his prime (and worth well over £20M) and Ilori is nowhere near liverpool's first team. Makes no sense for Dortmund, It's like trading your roller for a fiesta. Utter bollox, loads of these bulls**t stories doing the rounds this summer. Do journo's just go to the pub and listen to the pisshead at the end of the bar.
Toure apparently staying despite a bid from Turkish side. He did a good job start last season and seemed a bargain but lost his way a bit towards the end. Can't see him getting much game time this year, especially if Coates and Ilori stay
frankly in europe the rules are clear as abramoivhc tried it on with one of the moscow clubs and found he can only own 10% of something bascially these arab shisters at city buy a club in america and go do the same crap there then use it to prop up city after the FFP rules cleary give them a huge fine and squad reduction. I expect to hear some other crap keeper or some such who would help city as a sub will be bought too.
Will we? From a football point of view Balotelli should do well for us. He is quick, strong and scores goals. But would he cope with being second fiddle to Sturridge and if he doesnt cope what will happen?
Would he be 2nd fiddle though - I think it would give Sturridge competetion, exactly what he needs. I'm certain Brod could turn Balotelli into a quality striker/team player.
I agree Rodgers could make him. As it stands Sturridge is more versatile and scores more goals. He also gets the loyalty advantage because he joined us 18 months ago and has been brilliant the whole time. Yes Balotelli is competition. But I dont think we will over take Sturridge.
To be honest, who cares if City have signed Lampard? City are a top team and he's a good player. Fits like a glove. More importantly, who are we signing, if anyone, after the collapse of Remy? Personally I'd rather see Jordan Ibe given the chance, as far as I'm concerned, Moreno aside, we're done with spending our 'war chest'.
Whichever manager fixes Baloteli will have one of the best strikers in the world playing for him. Massive task as he is completely crazy but BR can manage it imo.
Only over his period at Liverpool, Up to 12 months ago, no one would of taken Sturridge over him. Balotelli might make the step up to nailed on WC at Liverpool, he's got all the attributes. Also brings a lot of baggage as mentioned, and i appreciate after Suarez, not needing it!
Rodgers and co have shown they can tame one mental case already so I think they could do it wiv Balo as well, harness his best qualities like. I said during gnasher's WC madness that it was inevitable he'd go rogue again once that setup at Liverpool working on the psychological aspects of his game was taken away from him. Would be interesting to see if they could sort Balo out, which I think they can... very similar problems to Suarez in terms of his background and personal life always feeling he's been up against it and fighting the system.
no, we didn't fix suarez... he had one good season. bad on telly is a nutbag who does stupid stupid things, acts like a petulant child at least 50% of the time he's on a pitch. Trust me within 2 years people will wonder where he ended up... and it'll be some dog of a league being forgiven for stupid acts as per. he's got one shot left and i'd much perfer its not with us cos milan will take a bath... why should we too?
its a tough life being millionaires as such young ages, my heart bleeds for the ****ers wish i had the problems of how to spend 100k a ruddy week lol. well wish i had the problems of how to spend that a year to be fair lol.
Balotelli really isn't that good or well suited to us. He's lazy, impetuous, arrogant and shots from ridiculous positions without the talent to make them be worth taking on most of the time. Anyone can score a wonder goal with enough attempts. He's not much of a creator either. Really don't want him.
